A lot of bands have a screamer and clean vocalist, but this is very rare to see an old lead come back and sing with the new lead. Usually the new lead singer's ego would get in the way, but they left on good terms. People have been asking for this to happen for years.

So the original lead singer jesse leach made the 1st album with the band and left due to personal issues. Howard jones replaced him for several years then had to leave the band due to health issues. Killswitch engage decided to hold auditions for a new singer and jesse felt like he wanted to get back into music at this time and his agent told him about the audition and jesse tried out and has been back with the band ever since.

Yesssss! Made my night, seeing this notification. You got it, both singers! Don't they kill it together?!! Amazing video, as always. Also, there aren't too many bands that have more than one main vocalist but there are some. There are also a few 'super groups' out there like Killer Be Killed and Serpentine Dominion that have numerous vocalists and FUCK they are good. This song makes me want more Jesse and Howard together. The best of both worlds.

It’s kinda cool, cause Jesse Leach(current lead singer) replacer Howard Jones, but originally, Jesse was the lead singer, when the band initially formed, so it was Jesse>Howard>Jesse again, not too often do you see a band re-enter a former member. I’ll still claimed Howard is the better vocalist, but Jesse is solid.

There are alot of bands in metal that have two vocalists. It is more common I’ve noticed in the metalcore sub genre. Most of the time they have one guy that screams and one guy that does any clean vocals. However sometimes both vocalists will do a bit of both. As far as this band goes Jesse their current vocalist is actually their original vocalist. Jesse left the band in 2002 and then Howard joined shortly after. Howard was in the band from 2002 until around 2011-2012. Howard left to focus on his health both physically, having suffered from diabetes, and also mentally. After Howard left, the band made the decision to have jesse come back after Jesse auditioned for their open vocalist spot. Ultimately there was no hard feelings between anyone in the band and Howard. Thus they remained friends, and were able to make stuff like this happen

lesson time. lol Jesse was the founding lead back in the day. Howard replaced him for a reason i don't know. Howard needed to leave the band to get his health under control. that's when Jesse came back. Howard went and formed a new band called "Light the torch" and Jesse wrote this song signal fire to pay honor to Howard's new band.

I about lost my shit when I heard Jesse and Howard were collaborating on a song. When I heard it I did lose my shit. This is one of their best. End of heartache CD was great! Rose of Sharyn is an amazing song! The lyrics are pretty powerful if you’ve lost someone very special to you. Howard writes some heartfelt shit.
