Hey Teddy, now I know you say most frequent commented but there's a band I think you would love called steelheart, they are very underrated and not very known, the lead singer miljenko matijevic's vocals are outstanding. Songs I recommend to you are, she's gone, can't stop me from lovin you and never let you go. (Btw this band its from the 90's).

Anything by Architects, well newer Architects. “deep fake” and “Animals” are my absolute favorite songs of all time. Edit: “Seeing Red” and honestly the entire “the classic symptoms of a broken spirit” album is also a must listen from architects. “Seeing Red” is a response to them getting lots of hate for changing up the style of their music and it is pretty good. Also “Doomsday” is a lot heavier and also a pretty good listen. It’s a very sad song bc their band mate died from skin cancer, and that was the last song he ever worked on. He never finished it, but the rawness and pain in the song can be very much felt. Just a heads up on what the songs mean and stuff.

The female voice is Oli's wife Alissa who is also a singer called: Alissic. She has a song called 'Everybody's Dead Inside' which was originally going to be a BMTH song, but he heard her singing it & knew it was meant for her. She's from Brazil, stunningly beautiful with a voice to match.

Any of their performances from the Royal Albert Hall concert will leave you blown away! Highly recommend "Doomed" or "Sleepwalking". They perform live with a full orchestra, which goes amazingly well with their sound. For other metal KZbinrs, I think it'd be really awesome to see you collab with @laurenbabic and maybe react to one of her songs/covers and get a backstory.

A very pleasant surprise was the fact that you instantly recognized the Mystery of the Bulgarian Voices! It is one of the very few countries in the world that has more than 2 or 3 folklore regions, Bulgaria actually has 7 folklore regions each of which is musically unique! Also, the Bulgarian Rhodope bagpipe has an extremely rare sound because it plays on a quarter tone! Greetings from Bulgaria and thank you for the amazing content! The song is dedicated to the pandemic and carries very strong messages. It is an interesting fact that the female voice in the song is performed by Olly's wife - Alissa Sykes.

I commented this on your reaction to Kool-Aid. And it took way to much time to just be commented one time. So I decided to re-post it on this video. So please, if you are at all interested in Bring Me The Horizon's history. Read this: Bring Me the Horizon is one of the most innovative and forward-thinking metal bands the last 10 years. The band was founded in 2004 as a deathcore band (Which is basically screaming, heavy riffs and fast drumms). They got founded by: Oliver Sykes (Vocalist and song-writer) and Matt Nichols (drummer). With Lee Malia as a the main guitarist, Matt kean on bass and Curtis Ward as a second guitarist. All of these except for Curtis, are still in the band. Their first two full-Lenght albums which was Count Your Blessings and Suicide Season, was basically deathcore albums. In 2010 they released a metalcore album called There Is a Hell Belive Me I've Seen It. There Is a Heaven Let's Keep It a Secret. Metalcore is a mix between extreme metal and hardcore punk. It's usually built up with a screaming verse, and a clean chourus, with a heavy breakdown. And has become one of the most popular metal genres the last plus, minus 15 years. I would say that Kool-Aid has some metalcore elements, and that it is a kind of a softer metalcore song. Slowly but surely they developed their sound, and soften up a bit using more elecronic elements, thanks to the addition of Jordan Fish. This was apparent with their first major breakthrough in 2013, when they released one of the most critically acclaimed metalcore albums of all time called sempiternal. Which pushed both metalcore and modern metal forward. After great success with sempiternal they settled down with a both softer and a bit less energetic sound with That's The Spirit in 2015. Which is a alternative rock/metal album. Personally this was my starting place. It caught both the Bring Me The Horizon vibe, and pretty accsessible songs overall. With That's The Spirit they made a pretty drastic change in their sound. But their biggest controvesy and their most drastic change in sound, was still yet to come. In 2019 after a 4 year long break without an album, Bring Me released Amo. Amo was easilly the most controversial album Bring me has ever dared to release. It was basically just a straight up pop-album with some heavy riffs here and there. Certanly not what the fans have learned to expect from them. It got a lot of criticism for this exact reason. But as the hardcore fans left. A bunch of new people came, that hadn't really been into heavier music before. But even myself, which is a much bigger fan of their older stoff than their newer, think that Amo is a really damn good pop album. We didn't have to wait long before the they decided to make new music. In october of 2020 they came out with a 9 song long EP called Post Human: Survival Horror. Which was the first EP in a series of EP's going under the name of Post Human. With this, they regain a lot of the hardcore fans they lost after Amo. The first song for example Dear Diary, could probably even fit in their first full-leaght album: Count your Blessings from 2006 without feeling too out of place. And with the rest of the songs, they found a perfect mix between the sempiternal metalcore era, and the softer That's The Spirit alt-rock/metal era. And then we have come to 2024. Kool-Aid is the sixth of the singles that came out after Post Human: Survival Horror. These singles were all to be on their next EP called Post Human: NeX Gen. It was scheduled to release in september of 2024, but delays occured because Oli Sykes wasn't happy with the result. And god knows when it will release. I don't think it helped, when Jordan Fish left the band a few weeks ago. So this was basically the whole story of Bring Me The Horizon from start to finish. I hope at least one person takes the time to read it. If not, this was a massive waste of time. I spent much longer than i was planning to do on this. And to the one that read all of this: Thank you...

Nic nocturnal would be the best guy. Great KZbin. Nice guy. Would probably do some collab reactions with you if you could get connected. And he makes videos and makes literally anything metal. Watch some of his video's doing just that. He loves bring me and seriously alot of metal/rock/ nu metal. This song originally was about the 80s game parasite Eve. And COVID happened around the time they made it, and it was uncanny how it related to the pandemic, they almost didn't release it thinking it would be in bad taste. But the world needed an album about the situation and how the government was dealing with it, obey is about just that. Theb entire album is about the state of the world , then and now. Ending with a very chilling song About humans in war with mother nature. Amy Lee of Evanescence playing the part of mother nature and Oli (the vocalist) humanity. Its very creepy and hard hitting.

This song was written pre covid, they actually changed some of the lyrics before releasing since the pandemic started, particularly the line in the chorus that is 'when we forget the infection' was originally 'will we survive the infection' or something along them lines. The female voice is Oli's wife, who has released a few of her own songs under her name Alissic. This band is from my hometown, I bumped into Oli and his wife in my local shop a couple of years back and they were super nice :)

BMTH is known for changing their sound for different albums. Many hardcore fans got upset saying they were "not heavy enough" and "too pop sounding" but they really know how to adapt and be different with their mixing of genres and getting people into metal with their more rock songs. They can be considered a gateway metal band since some of their stuff doesn't get heavy or have any screaming, and some of the stuff that does have screaming usually waits for the breakdown to actually scream. Which helps get people into screaming that wouldn't normally think they would like it. They did a concert with a live Orchestra! You have to check out one of those songs! They are on KZbin. Might I suggest the song "Doomed" Live at the Royal Albert Hall. Great reaction and breakdown as always! ❤👍☕

If you're wanting to get into Metal then probably the hottest band in metal right now is Sleep Token. They are every gender, blending gospel music, drum and bass, house music, R&B and Hip Hop with Metal. Their songs are truly an experience and so emotional when you understand the background behind them and what the lyrics are about. The easiest song to get into them is The Summoning but then once you're into the rabbit hole you'll delve into all the more different and emotional songs.

*standing up* Hi from Bulgaria to you too Teddy! Omg so happy you reacted to this song!! Loving your dive into rock n metal along kpop as those and dance music were what I grew up with and seeing you feel the music as I did is such a great feeling! As another person with ADHD I know exactly what tickles our brain and that's the delicious changes and combinations those styles do with music and the various ways they change up the song be it in melody, rhythms, tempos, cadences, vocals, arrangements, etc. !! the explanation for nu-metal is essentially it was a new generation of metal, the last iteration of metal before that was hair metal and I guess thrash bands, then bands started incorporating hip-hop elements and many other different genres into it so I believe it was journalists who coined the phrase Nu-Metal to describe it, then from that point on anything with influences of industrial, hip-hop, alternative rock, funk, trip-hop, and grunge that was blended with strong rhythm based heavy music caught the label. it just means New Metal because at the time it was the new iteration, but because of the impact of the bands who got hit with the label it became it's own genre. The pioneers of the genre were Korn and Ross Robinson. I'd recommend listening to Antiamorous by Omerta if you would like to hear something modern that carries that same energy.

The more I watch rap heads or rappers watch or listen to post hardcore or metal they seem to like it. There really is a lot of R&B and hard core rap intertwined. Music is fluid af.

Apparently, it was written before covid became a real thing and they actually didn't really want to release it when they did, because they thought it might be seen as insensitive, it's just a wonderful coincidence. And, yup. Oli Sykes can sing. One singer, except when they have guests, pretty much. I'd love to see you react to Crooked Young, it's probably my favourite from Sempiternal.

Yes and no. They wrote it in 2020, and the pandemic began in 2019. It was based on the Japanese game Parasite Eve but also was made to fit better with the pandemic. I'm not saying that you're wrong because I have seen the band say different things about the song. They did say that it was a coincidence but also said that the album was written to help people cope with the pandemic, and I think that what they really meant was that they were writing about similar situations like plagues and viruses and then one hit all of a sudden and they felt that it was bad timing so they worked on it to fit the situation and then released it when the situation around COVID became much clearer.

This song was written before covid and produced during the first UK lockdown It was originally wayyyy more graphic but they toned it down because of the rising covid death toll So while the song is not specifically about covid it was definitely a sign of the time The theme of the EP its on (post human survival horror) is humans making themselves extinct

They changed the voices on chorus to represent the intensification of urgency I'm pretty sure you're right about the Bulgaria thing ... I think they were around and in the Netherlands during the creation of post human ... Have you checked out Landon Tewers/The Plot in You ? "Feel Nothing" is an amazing video and takes your face off similarly by shock. Maybe one of the most choreographed videos of it's kind.

Fun fact Parasite eve was made in 2019 before covid however i believe it was slightly reworked and delayed to apply but that bit i might be wrong. the original song was written in 2019 tho that is true

Do Throne next! Also Ryker Road are 2 brothers that do reactions, one favours metal and one favours hip hop and they play each other songs from their genres. That would be a fun collab. But Nik Nocturnal is the all knowing wisdom of metal
