last summer whisper genuinely has been in my top 5 favourite songs since 2021 and stably stayed in those top 3 throughout the 2 years. anris whole album heaven beach....... oh my god. my ultimate comfort space. i used to pull an all nighter every night to not miss out on the solitude i never have in daytime. in those all nighters i always drank tea and listened to city pop, R&B and calm shoegaze but HEAVEN BEACH. was and still is what i associate with solitude. not just because of this experience its realy the feeling last summer whisper gives me that i cant just describe with "comforting" "destressing" and shit its a different level than that its so much warmer

I watch your reacts every day. I think,this is amazing 、because,you guys are really enjoying our Japanese 80’s pop music like this. Yes,I’m a Japanese mam, 57 years old . The 80’s was my most sparkling time. I often sung these numbers at karaoke house those days. And used to listen songs of Taturou Yamashita , Maria Takeuchi , Junko Yagami by cassette tapes ! and also l had joined the copy band of Anri. I push the number “Merry go round”. in the album “Melodies “ of Taturou. His guitar play cutting ,Fire! Base line Fire ! And Anri‘s songs “Snow flake no machikado” “Usonara yasasiku “ These are the must ! I’m looking forward to watching next your react of city pop !!! I love you !!!

Last Summer Whisper is an example of pure musical genius. Sometimes, you just want to mellow out, and this song, played at normal speed, is absolutely perfect for that, but if you speed it up to 125-150%, and its genre changes dramatically, and it becomes a textbook example of what a funk song sounds like, and should sound like. With that change in playback speed, though, Anri's pitch increases, but still sounds entirely natural.

Have a great reaction to awesome Japanese music, it's so familiar everybody says it is because it's based on black American funk and soul music but somehow the Japanese were able to make it their own with similar grooves. You guys should check out Junko yagami any of her songs are good she has albums from the very late 70s and all the way into the 90s I think her best stuff is here early to mid 80s stuff matter of fact she even had her 1983 album pressed distributed to America even though it was Japanese and had Japanese writing on it I forget the name of it but it's from her 1983 album, I guess she never made it big here in the US because that's the only album of her's that was ever released here in the US, the album is called I want to make a hit with c h o o, her 1984 album, communication, the self-title track communication is one of my favorites by her.
