@SaisaiDemigodess But for me, a half Korean, half Japanese American, it does! In every single reaction video that called them K-pop, you will see a comment from me. I've been doing it for two years straight now! You might not believe me, but I was the 1st person to call them X-pop and do it consistently. K-pop simply means Korean popular music. In other words, music usually performed by Koreans and sung in mostly Korean to target a majority Korean audience. K-pop is NOT an industry. At least when it comes to describing a particular group. Training and promoting never did, and will never do, define an artist. XG themselves never called themselves K-pop. ON PURPOSE! Music is always defined by their sound. And XG's sound is western R&B and Hip hop sung in English.

It is one of the main reason why i love XG, they have great hip hop element in their music. But also as a fellow hip hop fan and a huge music admirer, i would like to suggest to check out BTS. People hardly know this but BTS has a very strong Hip Hop element in their music, especially old school hip hop. 2 of the members came from underground rappers, and 1 from hip hop street dancer.
