His speed is impressive but for me what makes him the Rap God is how he’s able to tell stories with his Rap and still have a sick rhyme scheme. A lot of people can rap fast but eminem is one of the rare few that can evoke emotions. I still remember the first time I heard ‘Sing for the Moment’ absolute chillssss

Twista is the god of fast rap and he tells stories and is lyrical, he’s a cheat code because he’s doesn’t have to use a bunch of words that sound the same to rap fast that’s why no one can brake his genius record. Dude is like hyper speed he can take a slow line and speed it up and hit every syllable he did a Godzilla and it seem slow for him he went super fast but looked like it was slow for him . He doesn’t write his lyrics he thinks all of his songs in his head in his head and saves it . The style that Eminem uses is a style twists made up in 1991 when he was a kid rapping on mtv .

Actually the one that really brought hip hop to Korea is Yoon Mi-rae. 3 parts of MFBTY Tiger JK & Bizzy. Tiger and Yoon which are husband and wife were the forefront of the movement. That girl I would put as a sort of Eminem of Korea. She was the Godmother of Korean hip-hop. So context kind of is important here. There are other more recent examples like Jessi which deserve some love as well. :)

Eminem gets a lot of crap for being so controversial (a lot of which may be well deserved), and a lot of praise for his talent and dedication, but even from people who are very familiar with western hip-hop I think how much effort he puts into mental/emotional health awareness is incredible. He's got numerous songs that are dedicated to overcoming depression, anger, bullying, drug/alcohol abuse, and both in his songs and his personal story he's very inspirational to a lot of people out there. He's been a long-time advocate of free speech (which is why I think a lot of his music is intentionally controversial). He's a symbol of how talent will only take you so far unless you're willing to invest the hard work and perseverance necessary.

From his verse on the Dr Dre song Medicine Man "Karma's headed for Armageddon, the drama setter I'm going in, already got an arm and head in" Playing on kARMa HEADin then saying already got an arm and head in which sounds like armageddon.

@@RougeLino Music has been universal since it’s inception. It’s not going to change because it comes in a new form. Just as people feel emotion from classical, they feel it from modern day forms of it. Also, rap has and always be one of the most profound forms of art. It’s versatile and can be put on ANY track. Not only that, there’s so many different ways to do it and carries tons of weight and emotion behind it, just like any art form.
@RougeLino3 жыл бұрын
@@CueLash well since you are talking about classical/instrumental music... Then I agree But if you had words that I understand... I can still disagree
@CueLash3 жыл бұрын
@@RougeLino There are rap songs that frequently take music theory from classical pieces or even directly sample them. Classical is the foundation of all music that you even hear, because it’s the precipice of composition. This is level one knowledge. What it sounds like, is you picking and choosing what music is, and isn’t. Regardless, there have been studies done on why rap works, and it’s mainly because it’s extremely versatile and quite literally poetry. Pop music works because it utilizes music theory that’s specifically designed to be pleasant rhythmically and harmonically. So yea, you’re simply picking and choosing, rather than educating yourself.

We even had a t-shirt with his face on it it was my brother’s favourite. And I have never forgotten the song « I’m not affraid to take a stand » and all that. And I remember when we heard that Eminem can say 1000 words in seconds we were all so shocked and we was like « he really is great! » funny thing is we didn’t understand any English and we were just little kids appreciating pure talent
