soyeon has the flow, and most importantly, she write her own raps. she said this before that "not writing her own rap part will just hurt her pride" in produce 101 s1. she's an all rounder, she can sing, rap, dance, write, produce, arrange and composes songs. she write almost all of (g)i-dle songs. their debut song (which turned out to be a hit) "latata" was written by her. she said in interview before that their comeback keep on getting delayed so she decided to write their own songs. she also said that she's never intended to be the group's primary song writer. she also has been called as "genius" by knetizens before. plus, she's the fastest female idol rapper! which make her as the only female that succeeded to be in the top 5 of fastest idol rapper :)

As much as I love Jennie facts have to be said. Soyeon is no joke. Her rap flow, her tone and the sass behind it is real. That is real talent. There aren’t many people who can rap like that I mean you can try to learn that but it is difficult. (By the way I know what I am talking about since I’ve been rapping for 10 years now). Jennie is not bad at rapping but it’s more of a speaking there’s almost no flow. But when Soyeon raps there is always flow, rhythm, sass etc. Also you can not compare Soyeon and Jennie as both of them have completely different rapping styles.

Idol rapper *did* exist. Jennie is an *idol* rapper while soyeon is a *real* rapper. Idol rapper is the one who just raps what are given to them. The real rappers write their own lyrics, and can do the freestyle rap. I understand that jennie could also do freestyle rap and writes her own lyrics but YG doesn't let her. Jennie could be the real rapper *but* that will only happens if YG let her writes her own lyrics and do freestyle raps. We could only wait for YG to let her do it all.
