Rapala CountDown Elite - Legend 2.0

Since its first introduction in 1965, the original CountDown has cemented its status as the legendary lure that can catch fish all over the world. 55 years on, with better technology and innovation, Rapala is proud to introduce the next legendary lure - CountDown Elite.
At 7.5 cm and 10g, the distinguishing feature of the CountDown Elite is it's improved durability due to the first-of-its kind internal structure. Starting with premium balsa, inside is a rugged pressed wire-through harness, a first ever tungsten polymer weight system for incredible casting distance, all armed with VMC 7554 black nickel hooks to turn strikes into catches.
Aesthetically, the color patterns of the CountDown Elite combines metallic plating, high definition printing and new designs, bringing this lure to a whole new level.

Thank you for showing us this vidéo. Despite the lure's fashion take the way to catch fisher's before fishes, even if the original floating or sinking model can be judged as "uglier and less technic" compare to those new plastics lures,for me these original minnows still the best in my heart.They are silencer and the countdown with his ''shy swimming" is very effective and make the difference on scared fishes .Balsa material also gives to them something unique.Original floating and countdown are the true spirit of Rapala's firm.

Thank you for your compliments and that is why this Elite Countdown still has the spirit of Rapala. It is still a balsa lure but it is made to cast further, premium finishing and have that iconic wounded minnow Rapala action.

The original Countdown have very fragile lip. I have broken too many fishing in creeks. Hopefully, the new Elite Countdown will be more durable.
