I agree I'm a DT fan. I use those things all the time.

I love to crank but I try not to do it around wood to much, unless I want to donate a lure to the pond.

I watch it go across all that structure and all I can think is, tie another one. This is my favorite crankbait right now.OG Slim06, DT10 in hot copper shad, and 15 in caribbean or helsinki shad.

Trolling different line thicknesses notably changes running depths of lures. Does line thickness play a roll with the DT series when casted? (go with extremes for comparisons: 4# braid castng depths compared to 50# fluro casting depths for example)

I've found that keeping my line healthy with crankbaits is rough. Almost every time I present the way the crankbait is supposed to be used (bouncing off of cover and other structure) I'll check my line and after 2-3 casts I need to retie.

But mike, how do you keep those cranks from hanging so much ?
@claytonfarmer70207 жыл бұрын
My crank would have gotten hung on every single piece of wood that the one in the video contacted

Clayton Farmer lol 😂 mine also don’t feel bad
@marcusyoung28707 жыл бұрын
You gotta pause it for a sec. It'll float over instead of digging in and getting hung. Or you just found the community snag. Either way, if you ain't getting hung up, you ain't in the strike zone. Tight lines boys!

Did anyone else notice the rusty crayfish sitting on the tree in the first underwater clip?

It's difficult for the average angler to have 4-6 dedicated crankbait rods. I wish I was rich or a pro sponsored angler.
@Wired2Fish5 жыл бұрын
Yeah, not feasible for most, but hopefully there's some useful info in here. A standard medium-power cranking rod in 7-foot range will have you extremely well-covered for everything Iaconelli talks about in this video.

@@Wired2Fish Then I'm well prepared. That's the one I have. I'll just take a bit longer tying and retying baits. Funny how things change. When I was a kid we had one or two rods that did it all.
