Ya gotta know DJ Shadow - Endtroducing….., their 1996 album, is a masterpiece and is a must listen for every producer. Edit: that sounds way too negative - great reaction and happy to see DJ Shadow and RTJ getting love Edit2: the song is more about challenging authority and how the recognition of a problem is understood as an attack by those responsible. If nobody recognizes an issue, then there’s nothing to talk about; the status quo is a dream for all the current benefactors of exploitation. Killer Mike, El-P, and DJ Shadow are all in the video. You said "There he is!" when El-P popped up :D El-P hates this video because they spent 8 hours filming different facial reactions to what was going on, but in the final edit, it was all cut out to have more of the politicians arguing/fighting. So you only get them for 1 second each, lol. I don't think the song is about cancel culture, it's just a shit-talking song they came up with when DJ Shadow asked them to be on the track. It's the first Run the Jewels song I ever heard, and I've been a huge fan ever since. You did a reaction to "Ooh La La" about a month ago, hope you do some more of their songs., "Goonies vs E.T." is from RTJ4 is one of my favorites and really showcases El-P's creative production, and Killer Mike goes off as usual. Can't wait until RTJ5!

i dont think its about cancel culture either, before the first hook he said, "wanna hear a joke? nobody speak, nobody gets choked" not only are they saying that if you speak up about issues and talk your mind you get choked, but also that its a joke that even if you DONT speak up, if you just keep quiet, you will/ are getting choked. Killer Mike is amazing with putting in messages of his politics into his songs
