This is sickening and heartbreaking. They seem like a lovely couple who are desperate to have a place. However, we have illegal gimmergrants staying in luxury hotels and getting food and money the minute they arrive from War torn France! Our homeless people should be those who get help. I really hope Lee & Julie get support on getting a place together. 🙏

I agree that it’s terrible that we have vast homelessness and the issue surrounding the housing of asylum seekers is beyond ridiculous. They don’t stay in luxury hotels but I get your point.

Liverpool City Council have created ALL of this pain and suffering on these fellow human beings and they have a duty of car fix this mess. Liverpool City Council are funded generously by the government to relieve the homeless from homelessness under the Homeless Reduction Act and therefore owe them a duty of care to honour this legislation. I am appalled that there are services to help these people not being used by the council. A home is what these people need to get their lives back on track and not to be put in hotels or hostels because they are just filling their own and their friends pockets and not giving these individuals a thought. Liverpool should have a big homeless house like a care system for the homeless and help them get off the streets and feed them. How many empty sky scrapers do we have just rotting away. These can be used at a cheap rent and put these people back in work and have a living for themselves. They call Victoria's cruel but at least they had workhouses to stay in instead of the gutter!

Get them in a dinghy take them to coast near dover say theyre escaping a war torn country and hey presto they'll be more than looked after by the government a nice hotel to live in, new clothes , new mobile phone free 3 meals a day and money every week this is whats wrong with our country more intent on helping the migrants live a carefree life at our expense than helping our own
