Great to see brands FINALLY discussing real topics! More of this, please! Stories like this is what marketing should include, always, because they are the real stories that bind us, not some fluff on a pro finishing a race or not. Props to Kody and Matt for the idea!

Being someone who was also a drug addict in his youth and has recently discovered cycling years later I really appreciate the angle they took on that. Nothing of this cycling changed my life/cycling is my therapy stuff you see anywhere else yet someone who like many hit a rough patch in life but got through it and now uses cycling for his own good and to stay on the right path - keep on riding, Peter ✌️

Damn, that is powerful. Didn't go to the heroin part, but alcohol was the one who held me for a while. Cycling pulled me back and gave a new healthy life.

Definitely pulled some string with me about identity. Getting high became apart of me at an early age. It was who I was known for and was able to come out of my shell . Great to bring up these topics and to see there are others .......Thanks for sharing Peter and thanks Rapha

Wonderful story, thank you for sharing. I used running as a therapy for being alone and out of danger but my knees had other ideas, now in my early 50's I have turned to cycling which allows me to be free and in my own world - love it!

Interesting how so many of us have similar stories with addiction turning to sport and then finding that place in a community. Ultra running has done the same for me and I couldn’t be happier that i found it. Great film, thanks for sharing.

Amazingly happy he found redemption but this entire piece misses all the people and things that let it happen in the first place. Cycling heals but it would be even better if we cared and kept an eye enough to stop people from falling into these problems.

What in the what!? Very strange I saw this almost exact same doc with the exact same name (without the 'the') filmed in 2019, released momentarily on KZbin in 2020 and has been circulating in film festivals for the last few years. Sounds like you took an idea from a little guy and made it big. Care to comment? (Before anyone comments that others can have the same story - my biggest issue is the TITLE. A huge company like this knows what they are doing and this is clearly influenced by an already existing "The pace of Change" doc.)
@harpo.marx1917 Жыл бұрын
I congratulate Peter and all the people who put together this excellently produced documentary. But I have a doubt, is there a testimony of the failure of "another Peter"? The optimistic pedagogy is admirable, but in my experience it can be an encouragement to some "clueless", who may believe that one can enter "hell" and get out without consequences. Seen from Europe, this "happy ending", so typical of American cinema, can be misleading.

Hey Justin, this is Sam and I commission all of Rapha's documentaries. We don't have nobody who manages this account, it's just me I'm afraid and I haven't removed comments from you. Thank you for pointing out your film about a triathlete called 'The Pace Of Change'. Kody who made this film has already reached out to you and I hope you could get a sense from his email of what a genuine guy he is. Originally the working title for this film was 'A Change of Pace', but after playing with different versions of the title we settled on 'Pace of Change'. It is a super weird coincidence that our films share a similar title and theme.

@@raphafilms Thanks for acknowledging this, Sam. Both Kody and Matt reached out to me yesterday via email and helped clear the air on this. It wasn't my intention to take away from such a great story you all shared here. I'm actually a subscriber and fan of the work you do. With all the strange similarities, I was looking for some context and they helped provide some. Thanks again for reaching out and I hope you keep sharing important stories like this.
