This entire Lunar New Year felt like they were just dumping out skins for "popular champion XD" with a handful of skins for more obscure characters. Primal Ambush was all popular characters, Heavenscale was all popular characters (and Smolder), and now we have Graves, Darius, Miss Fortune, Irelia, Morgana, and A.Sol (and also Prestige Kindred) where only one of them fit this skinline. (It's A.Sol btw. A.Sol is the only good one... Prestige Kindred is also okay.) Like we couldn't have gotten a skin for Alistar (Ox + "Bull in a China Shop" lol), Olaf (Goat), Twitch (Rat), or Rell (Horse)? Like not all of these are great but certainly we could've had more champions instead of "the ones that sell well in China."

in addition to your comment regarding aurelion sol's voicelines being cut completely in half, as someone who mains irelia i was shocked to see how much she lost voicelines-wise in mythmaker. in her default and epic skins, she has lines for grouping/moving as a team, surviving the teamfight, setting up a gank, and so much more. in her non-epic skins, she has a few unique voicelines per skin too. mythmaker irelia has so much less and seeing how other champions are getting the same treatment with their legendaries and how new champions come out with less lines than older champions feels like quite an upset, even more so now after the layoffs of the creatives.

I still find odd that people criticized Kindred's original Porcelain skin by showing only closeups and smears of a model that should've look from above. But I'm pleasantly surprised that her prestige version doesn't suck and fits the original skinline. Same face syndrome of female champions aside, I would like if Irelia looked more like the splash art. I think the skin color is too yellow and doesn't blend well with the palette of the overall model.

Tbh Aurelion looks nice, but I don't get any "porcelain" feel out of the skin? Like, at all? He is just blue and white, he is flowy, his whiskers are flowy, everything feels very liquid and mobile. There are no porcelain parts to him at all. He doesn't feel breakable, which I could understand in context of him being a mighty being, but I feel that even trying to make him look more like dragons depicted on china bowls (less aetheral and losing the golden hue) would have helped. Maybe I'm the only one, but I honestly expected more. If you told me this skin was Heavenscale, I'd probably believe it.

Nothing will ever really come close to the sheer unbridled *FEAR* that permiated the Kindred Community when we realized that Porcelain Kindred, the actual, unequivocal worst skin in the entire game, was gonna be the prestige. Even the relief that came when they revealed that by "prestige" they meant "entirely new skin please forget the old one we're sorry you were right" wasn't as visceral of a feeling as the gut-dropping fear. ...Although maybe they could have beaten that intensity if they went with sketch #2 for the splash instead to turn the entire community feral.

I loved last years mumu and lissandra they fit perfectly and kindred had by far the best effects on ult this year non of the skins seem to grasp well enough the charm that mumu and lissandra had overall the champions they chose dont fit the skin line at all the fragile yet powerfull, the amazingly done porcelain has lost its charm in the guns and axes. Syndra would fit perfectly with tea cups for the orbs and yet they fumbled complelty

As an irelia main, I'm mixed on the criticism. I agree that the head shape of the Porcelain splash art is super different from irelia and how it can make her look a bit generic. However, skins aren't just "characters in a different suit" To me, I always saw them as characters being reimagined in an entirely different world and how they adapt like Project, Star Guardian, and High Noon. and yes reimagining also means alternating their looks a bit from certain body structures to accessories and sometimes facial features. I mean look at pug'maw and bee'maw. they straight made kog'maw cute compared to how Kog'maw looks and everyone loved it. So I don't think it's fair to a certain degree that a champion needs to look EXACTLY the same when it comes to skins.

I like them of Porcelain. Im russian, and we have Gzhel - its some of painting style in Blue+White. And this skinline is about it. I dont like Darius, Graves and MF here, just because I think there is some better choises, but anyway thats alright, and skinline is solid 8/10 for me. ASol is the second the legendary skin of last 2 years (Viego is ballin imo).

I like porcelain but it always kinda irks me that the Chinese inspired skins are rarely champions from Ionia. Morgana and A Sol at least are non human creatures. But MF Graves and Darius make no sense. Orianna and Nidalee would’ve been better buffers if they needed non Ionians. I also kinda wish smolder had been saved for Porcelain. But honestly the champion I’m the most surprised to not be in this skin line is Karma. I feel like her visuals fit this theme so well.

Maybe this skin line just isn't for me, because I prefer stuff that looks like the coven skins, or something excessively cutesy/pretty, but these skins just.... suck. They're incredibly drab and uninspired. The best use so far has been on Amumu, because it was super creative and adorable. They made him a little porcelain tea kettle, which worked incredibly well.
