Interesting location where you put the module vs where my paperwork suggests. It has me mounting it below the rear shock. I'm probably going to follow this as I have the Rottweiler fuel tank installed, so I've lost all my free space at the rear of the bike. It's totally worth gaining the almost 7 liters of fuel vs using it as storage space.

My paperwork had it mounting in the airbox but with the Rotti full intake and the alarm there was no space. You have to be really careful how you run the wires though or you will run out of cable. I actually extended the TPS cable slightly as it was very tight

Can Rapid Bike control the electronic throttle plates or secondary throttle butterflies if a bike has them?? Or is it only done by flashing the oem ecu?

The advantage of the Rapid Bike is it is an an on ECU that has automated features so makes it simple to use. So it does not change any of the stock sensors or ECU but does all of its changes after the stock ECU/Tune has been applied, so it reads all of the sensors and throttle position sensors and uses those to make it changes according to the tune settings that have been applied. It doe not directly control the throttle plates/butterflies as far as I am aware, at least the Evo I am running doesn't, not sure about other models and bikes though.

Did you get a manual with it? I didn`t and need to know what cable you connected the tps sensor to? :)

Yes it came with a paper document with installation instructions, I can see if I can find them for you or take a photo with that piece. Not sure I can get a photo though it was pretty tight in there and I had to lengthen the RB TPS wire so I could put the RB unit at the back behind the seat locking position on top of the rear guard

Have you rode the bike with the RB Evo installed yet? How did you like it? Thoughts?

Hi Phil, I have done quite a bit of riding since I installed it. The bike runs a lot better, and the power gain is quite noticeable. Note though I do have the full Rotti intake system and deCat. I am still playing around with the autotune, I have the map switch as well so am trying to get a tune slightly richer than stock for economy and a full send one. Currently both seem to be full send, on my richest tune I am losing about 150km range when you are on it so a significant rise in fuel consumption, but it goes like a cut cat :-)

@@GeoffBarnard That's great news. I have the same Rotti upgrades and was wondering how the evo smooths out the low end. 150km is a pretty big hit but I assume if you ride conservatively it should be a lot less. Hopefully you can get an eco tune working for you.

The bike is nicer right through the range, I have mine set to kick k in at 1500 rpm. That hit to mileage is pushing it hard, it would be substantially less if cruising. I will get the economy settings done in a couple of weeks so can update after that if you like

@@GeoffBarnard Good to know. I've pushed the bike extremely hard on a rally and noticed 100-125km reduction in fuel mileage. Even an aggressive ADV tire like a Mitas eo9 slides around so much, I thinking a knobby will give me the grip I need to not spin the tire so much and get back the milage. Love to see a follow up video on the evo now that you've rode with it for a while.
