That is a sweet model, my friend knew an engineer on the Tempo (I think his last name was Rose). Back in 69 we got a cab ride from Kitchener to Windsor and back. That was pretty exciting as we asked the engineer how fast it would go. When he got to a long straight section of track he stuck it in notch 8 and got it maxed out a bit over 90. The engine had an automatic overspeed shut down if you exceeded the maximum speed, so that limited things. Overall it was a fast trip and very exciting for me as that was my first cab ride

While i don't model any passenger operation or have any passenger cars i seriously love the way you add the capacitors for the lighting in the cars to keep them constantly lit.

Those look and sound amazing, saw one at George's a month or so ago. Being from South West Nova Scotia I'm curious if other variations will be available. I'm especially interested in a variation known as the RSC-14 which I saw several units every night at Fox Point Lake on their way back from Bridgewater to Halifax.

You guys mentioned the Tempo cars made it to Chicago, I’m assuming over the GTW. Was this in CN service or VIA?

We have photos of Toronto-Chicago Tempos in the VIA era, and we have seen photos of Tempo cars on special trains in Michigan in the 1970s. I don't know if the train ever ran in service in the US during the CN era. -Jason

Will the VIA tempo cars have the trace remains of the CN noodle. Took the Tempo many, many times from London to Toronto always amused me to see the faint remains of the CN noodle by the door. Can't wait for this as it was number one on my wish list. Probably as I rode it quite a bit. I even liked it after a midsummer trip to Toronto in one Tempo car with the AC broken, talk about hot.

If the Tempo isn’t considered too regional of a model to make, then why is the Rohr Turbo?

We would really like to make the Rohr Turboliner. The issue is tooling cost. The Tempo required three passenger cars based on one platform. The locomotive contains just some small changes to an existing model. The Rohr requires a lot more unique tooling.

Not sure I understand completely - so for the LRC, Tempo, or other passenger cars you have made in the past, were all variants of each type able to be made with the same mold? I would assume the different window arrangements, etc. on, for example, the LRC coach vs the LRC cafe would require at least different sides to the mold. What makes the Rohr cars different enough from each other that making a Rohr coach vs Rohr cafe would be harder or more expensive?

Yes - but they weren't working on the sample. We're trying to get the lights to come from the actual inspection light castings. We're waiting for a working sample to confirm.
