The bigger the occasion, the better Angelina is. This event was extremely important to Angelina and she handled it with care, tenderness and emotion, showing her respect for Narges and the Nobel committee.

John Gary vs Angelina Jordan Unchained Melody ********** One of the most memorable experiences of my life was seeing John Gary perform live in Seattle, WA, when I was 20 years old. He had such a powerful and beautiful voice that filled the whole auditorium. During the break, he sat down on the edge of the stage and played his guitar, singing Unchained Melody with so much emotion and passion. It was a sublime moment that I shared with my wife, and I felt like we were the only ones in the room. At that time, I thought to myself; how could anyone top that performance, but 56 years later a 17-year-old Angelina Jordan just did. Angelina Jordan's performance at the Nobel Peace Prize ceremony in Norway in 2023 blew me away. She sang with such passion and emotion that I felt every word in my soul. She truly captured the essence of the song and made it her own. and she is only 17-year-old. I have never heard anything like it before, this genius never ceases to amaze me. © Larry D. Pifer

Angelina moved to LA when she was 12. She has gone back to Norway numerous times to perform and visit. One of her first original songs is titled "Oslo" and pays tribute to her homeland. It is a beautiful song and gets too little attention. I think she was 11 when she first performed Oslo.

@stevenceo Are you sure? It's "common knowledge" that they moved in the spring of 2018 (when Angelina was 12). Can you have seen an older interview with her and her mum?

@stevenceoI don’t think they flew Ivan Mendez back and forth to Norway to make all those videos with him at age 12. He was coming to their home on a regular basis after he got off work, having dinner with the family and then making videos with Angelina in her music corner.

)))))) This video is a masterpiece that I have watched more than 75 times. Every time I hear the KORK Orchestra begin playing, I feel a surge of emotion because I know what is coming next: the most amazing rendition of Unchained Melody by the incomparable Angelina Jordan. She has a voice of an angel and a talent beyond words. Unchained Melody Nobel Peace Prize 2023 Some ask why Angelina Jordan would pick Unchained Melody for this event, Narges Mohammadi, the Iranian human rights activist who received the prestigious award remains in Iran. One of the most popular and enduring love songs of all time, Unchained Melody, has a surprising origin. It was composed for a 1955 film called Unchained, which tells the story of a man who is incarcerated for a crime he did not commit. He yearns to be free and reunite with his wife and children, who are waiting for him outside. The song captures his emotions of loneliness, hope and longing, and has been covered by many artists over the years, but none in my lifetime of 76 years have conveyed such emotion as Angelina Jordan did at this performance. © Larry D. Pifer

)))))) Unchained Melody Nobel Peace Prize 2023 (the charity work of Angelina Jordan is only one of the many things that makes her so special.) Angelina Jordan's historical journey is captivating, as she showcases her talent at the age of17 with a voice that transcends time and space, Angelina Jordan mesmerized the world with her rendition of "Unchained Melody" at the Nobel Peace Prize ceremony in 2023. Accompanied by the KORK orchestra, the 17-year-old singer paid tribute to Narges Mohammadi, the Iranian human rights activist who received the prestigious award, and remains in Iran. Angelina Jordan's performance was a testament to her artistic maturity and versatility, as well as a promise of more musical wonders to come. © Larry D. Pifer

Thanks for your reaction! She is only 17 years old today and from Norway. She signed with the label Republic Records just 14 years old, I think we can safely leave the promotion to Republic Record. Marketing will start when they are ready. There's only one EP with 6 songs she's released from Republic Record.. Republic Records know 100% what they are doing? I think a lot of people don't realize how much Angelina has done in her short life (17). She has recently performed at the Nobel Prize 2023, and also performed at the FIFA AWARD, also performed in front of 40 000 people only 11 years old invited by Norah Jones. She was also specially invited by Quincy Jones to perform on his 85th birthday in the O2 arena / London. And so on goes the list... She has over 250 songs on KZbin with cover songs and many originals. Angelina also plays piano and guitar. The truth is that within a year or two she will be the artist for the big occasions. and not a artist who tops a list for a week and is forgotten just as quickly. When she sometimes belts is it because the fits in the performances. She sings to us only she can do! Angelina recently had a sold-out concert in Portsmouth, New Hampshire, where there was an audience from many different country all the way from Australia and from 39 different states in the USA.

This for your information; DonVon. Rob Christie Republic Records Studio Director at Universal Music Group Manhattan Beach, California, and he has been working with AJ since she signed with the largest record company in the world at the age of 14, two years ago. Rob was the MC of AJ Christmas Show that aired Dec 23, of 21. AJ’s Christmas Show that live-streamed on Dec 23 of 21 had some of the most important musicians of our time: Frank Sinatra's drummer for 6 years, and sun in-law of the late Henry Mancini, Greg Field has won 9 Grammys, and the bass player, Chuck Berghofer who also played for Sinatra for 6 years, and toured with Barbara Streisand, accompanied AJ on her Christmas Show, and they stated that she had the "storytelling ability of the greats, Streisand, Fitzgerald, Vaughan, including Sinatra, to name a few. The main pianist, a five-time nominated for Grammys, Shelly Berg, stated in all his years working with the greatest vocalist, he had never encountered a talent like AJ. Did I forget to mention Jimmy Z, the famous Sax Player who worked with Rod Steward, Etta James, the Eurythmics, and Doctor Dre, was part of the band for the show? Jimmy stated that AJ was the best he has ever played for. Rob Christie Republic Records Studio Director at Universal Music Group Manhattan Beach, California played the guitar, and was the MC of the show. (I can't list the complete backgrounds on all the band members because it would take several pages to do them justice.) Angelina stated that she would rather perform than take a breath, and she has never been forced to perform, it has been her decision. AJ now lives in West Hollywood in Los Angeles, where the record company Republic Records has built a separate music studio for her. She states, "I feel incredibly lucky to have been signed by one of the biggest record companies in the world. I have my own studio where I make my own music. There will also be a lot of concerts in the future because I have released an EP. I will soon go on a world tour and play my songs, (This was stated to TV2 in Norway on Aug. 21, 2023) © Larry D. Sir, the NOBEL Prizes are so to speak at home in Norway, the homecountry of Miss Angelina. They are the highest praises on Earth that every human can achieve, regardless of color, religion, nationallity or age. For Miss Angelina it was a honor to sing to the husband and children of the imprisoned mother. The ochestra KORK, was proud to work again with Miss Angelina, they did that a few times over the years. Thany you for your wise comments.

Nargis is imprisoned on hunger strike and her children were in the audience. Angelinas performance was tender respectful and full of longing. She's working with REPUBLIC RECORDS so needs to be in LA.

Her ability to move those who listen to her is absolutely incredible. What a fascinating and intimate interpretation of this mythical song, absolutely suitable for the occasion of the tribute to Narges Mohammadi! I was moved to see and hear Angelina singing in such an incredibly mature and charming way, this wonderful version of a fantastic song and so appropriate to the occasion, 7 years after the last time, in the same studios and with some of the musicians who accompanied her as a child, when she took her first steps into her musical future. Here Angelina was simply fantastic and "unchained", a singer who has already sung on 2 different occasions at the Nobel Prizes and at just 17 years old.💛🧡❤

Merry Christmas to you DonVon and also to everyone else. One suggestion for you DonVon. I think it is a good idea to learn a little background on each performance you react to. A easy way is to read a few comments on the original video. Once anyone learns the story of Narges Mohammadi, it puts Angelina's performance in a whole new light. Then once you learn the Iranian connection between Narges and Angelina's family, her performance is stepped up to the true plea, for Narges to be released, as Angelina intended.

I've listened to the original Todd Duncan ( in the movie, Unchained) then Bobby Hatfield, then Elvis. Of the three only Todd's performance is correctly, emotionally engaged. That is until our girl came along, none of them have the sincerity and pharsing to do this beautiful song justice compared to Angelina...plus l heard her do it live!! Insane.

Hey, DonVon. Can't stop loving your reactions to Angelina. This has to be one of her most magnificent performances to date and, since it's Angelina Jordan we're talking about, man that is really saying something. This was also an extremely poignant and significant performance, as it was in tribute to the 2023 Nobel Peace Prize winner, Narges Mohammadi, an Iranian civil rights activist who has been fighting for women's rights in Iran, for which she is now in prison. If you want to see a synopsis of Angelina's journey to this point, and learn the full importance and significance of this performance, the song choice, and the reverence with which she performed it, I strongly and respectfully refer you to the video brilliantly put together by James Thiel _ kzbin.info/www/bejne/imfMood5hcp8fJY

A barefoot princess with a hypnotic voice. As usual, a vocal master piece. Narges Mohammadi (Persian: نرگس محمدی; born 21 April 1972) is an Iranian human rights activist and Nobel laureate. She is the vice president of the Defenders of Human Rights Center (DHRC), headed by her fellow Nobel Peace Prize laureate, Mohammadi has been a vocal proponent of mass feminist civil disobedience against the hijab in Iran and a vocal critic of the hijab and chastity program of 2023. In May 2016, she was sentenced in Tehran to 16 years' imprisonment for establishing and running "a human rights movement that campaigns for the abolition of the death penalty. She was released in 2020 but sent back to prison in 2021, where she has since given reports of the abuse and solitary confinement of detained women. In October 2023, while in prison, she was awarded the 2023 Nobel Peace Prize for her fight against the oppression of women in Iran and her fight to promote human rights and freedom for all. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Iran condemned the decision.
