I've listened to rap my whole life. I too felt like I wasnt supposed to like this stuff. I actually heard "kill this love" on the radio and loved it. I knew it had another language in it but wasnt sure what it was and didnt k ow it was from another country. It was about 2 years later when I watched your reaction to "how you like that" when I found out that it was kpop. It made me dive deeper into it. Blackpink was created in a lab by YG entertainment solely to be Global superstars! They were hand-picked to basically take over the pop'ish world. If you notice, in most of their videos they have a little bit of Indian vibes. That is on purpose. One of the most populated countries is India. They were trying to hit all countries. They even all speak multiple languages. Lisa speaks 4 languages. They were made to be Mega Stars. But yes, they can all sing. No Manila Gorilla here! 🙈You might want to check out their live performances. I normally don't like live performances over studio but in their case it's better live. Their band is awesome and also brings a rock element which I think is needed. Plus you can also see them actually sing.

Short Explanation Video: Notice than in this video there's always 2 of the girls except for Lisa (girl with bangs) JENNIE appeared with black and white swans while dressed in black and white clothes as well. It represents her naive and innocent self who got lost in the idea of love hence the color white. Then there's the other side of her which showed a side showing her realization that love always comes with pain hence the black. LISA then enters "heaven" where you can see cereal boxes with words about or related to love. It shows how one can feel like theyre in heaven when you are in love. JISOO now enters with a puddle of water beneath her. When you pay attention well, you can see that the whole image represents a teary eye or an eye that has been pain. ROSÉ who was driving a car is both the driver and the one being driven on. Notice the plates says "Ego" which means when you finally come to the realization that the love youre in is toxic, you must overcome your ego and destroy that part of yourself to have the strength to let go of a love that isnt healthy anymore. She also appears in a scene which looks like she was in a storm. It could mean feeling like being in a whirlwind. JISOO again appears as a princess and one with a bow and arrow. Again it symbolizes her stronger self wanted to kill her weaker self to escape a toxic love. The bear trap where they are dancing in is a bear trap shaped like a heart which represents how love can be a trap. Hence the lyrics which they sang on the bridge.
