The original Mic drop doesn’t have that most English in it, but the Steve Aoki version does so they could reach the American audience during that time and have it be played on the radio or in the clubs.

Agree. In my opinion, mic drop original version is way better than the remix and has better lyrics compared to the added English lyrics. It's just my personal preference.

To really understand the cypher series you have to listen and understand the beef between the rap line of Bts and BFree. This is where the dynamic series of the ciphers came about. Otherwise I feel like someone is just going to take the series as another gangsta rap. You have to really understand it from beginning to end.

Shadow goes into the concept that is talked about in the book Jung's map of the soul. In which they talk about the idea that every person is made up of three parts the persona, (which is your public face what your friends know you to be what the outside world knows you to be what if you're famous with your fans know you to be) your Shadow, (which of the parts of yourself that scare you the parts of yourself that you don't want to acknowledge that you hide) and then there's your ego, (who you know yourself to be as well as your reason). And they now actually have three rap songs called persona, Shadow, and ego. The I am you you are me part of the song is his shadow talking to hispersona to the parts of himself he doesn't want to acknowledge and the parts of himself he shows the world.... this might not make sense I'm very tired I should probably be asleep but insomnia is a jerk Edit Shadow is also as you guys picked up on talking about the problems with being famous and how that can make it hard to know who you really are and just complicates everything...

It has been so amazing to watch the growth of BTS. I saw them in a fantastic but no-frills concert in Anaheim in 2017 (the lack of funds was pretty obvious). Two years later they're rockin' the Rose Bowl with all the stops pulled out. One thing that didn't change is the high quality of their music production and the relatability of their lyrics. Big Hit did it right when they gave them so much freedom with their music as well as in showing themselves as real people (not pedestal idols) to the fans.

I’m one of those weirdos that watches people watching people lol. I love finding new reactions because as a huge army, it makes me ridiculously proud seeing new fans find this obsession. It always gives me the warm fuzzies seeing people who would normally look at BTS like “pfft, Kpop, next” and then they realize how legit BTS is and their whole demeanor changes. That song has a psychological meaning about oneself behind it. Shadow is the ego of the self. It can the dark side of you, can stay inferior or could swallow you whole. I've just recently gotten into Kpop and I'm sorry but their music videos are much higher quality than American mvs. The level of time and effort they put into every little detail is just mindblowing to me - from outfits to dance choreography. I heard that they train for years and practice at least 10hrs a day to hone their craft. That is some next level work ethic.

Hey I'm ARMY (England), I love it when people are open to giving BTS (and K-pop) a chance. I think it is actually sad because so many people are missing out on just how good they are. They cover so many genres, there is something for everyone. Most groups a lot of their tracks sound similar, with BTS they are all totally different. I started with BTS then got into Taemin, some GOT7 tracks, NCT127, Oneus and now I love Ateez too (they are amazing). BTS will always be my No. 1, there is just something special about them, not only their music, but who they are as individuals. I can't imagine my life without them in it.

I think the point of shadow was the fact that when they first made their debute song, he didnt expect to be where he was at now, and I think he felt as if he was just shocked by the fact that it's still unreal that he got to this point, but when he says dont let me shine I think he means dont just like him for his fame, because I think hes still at shock with the fact that all of their hard work has paid off
