What Knox was saying about lyricism and personality was soo true not even just with hip hop like think about people throughout history who have said a great many important philosophical and intellectual shit who have been either forgotten, surpassed or just copied by someone saying something similar or even the same , they just with more personality allowing for more people to connect with them and their message. Personality and the way you can deliver a message is just as important and sometimes even more important than the message itself

Bro bar none your ability to breakdown semi- lyricist to Eminem is an educational session each time and I hope people realizes that. Especially when it comes to Eminem’s cadence, his double, triple, at times quadruple meaning using a single word and it’s rhythmic ends. And I’m not even gonna start with his other 10 plus superior lyrical/delivery tactics. I don’t know if you ever covered immortal techniques but homeboy earned his respect through this sacrifice and persistence and his stance for the truth! Most, if not 98 percent of the rappers are scared to be cancelled so they self sensor themselves! That reminds me of this another genius name “LOWKEY” from the UK. This dude is one of a kind just not in the UK but I would argue in the world on his overall personality! Check him out bro! I’m sure you heard of him!

Those lil adlibs in the background definitely add a layer especially his patronizing laugh in the background it's like salt on the wound. It was one of the things he did that set him apart for me. He was doing that from the get go even before Dre signed him. His independent EP had that layer of reactions to his bars. It's catchy and it usually adds an extra chuckle or grown depending how it hit you. I'm time traveling listening to this, thanks for the journey.

@knoxhill Love your breakdowns homie! I am so late watching this so doubt you will even see this but I’ve been a huge fan of both Em and Bis since the beginning of their careers … always had mixed feelings about them sending shots at each other .. how dope would it have been to get a lyrical monster of a track with both of them on it together. FYI the Track Levitibus on Rip the Jacker album that came out one year after mic club is the track Canibus basically buries the hatchet with this beef. Felt like both of them never really went all out against each other because of the respect they each had for each other’s skillz Would be so dope to see you break down Master Thesis and Liberal Arts ft. Jedi Mind Tricks from Mic Club and Poet Laureate II on Rip the Jacker … Canibus is a lyrical monster those tracks are so dope can’t even call them songs jusst straight bars for hours when he got to Mic Club he basically gave up on trying to be commercially successful and was just spitting bars with mostly no hooks at all lol .. those first two albums he put out were fire but production was weak and didn’t have commercial appeal .. if you remember Rakim was featured on his second album and he historically doesn’t collaborate very often. Glad this beef never really go serious but fun to look back on. Em really is a pit bull latches on and never lets go

Hello, I hope you're doing well. I want to summarize what was discussed during a livestream. Canibus and LL Cool J worked together on a song called "4,3,2,1." During his part, Canibus said he would take the microphone from LL to showcase his skills. LL didn't like that and asked Canibus to remove the verse. Canibus agreed, but LL still included a subtle insult towards Canibus on his part. Canibus was unhappy and tried to work with LL again to show they were on good terms, but LL wasn't interested. So, Canibus insulted LL in his song. LL responded with his insult song, "The Ripper Strikes Back." Canibus suspected that Eminem had ghost-written "The Ripper Strikes Back," so he asked about it during his tour. Eminem denied it, but Canibus didn't believe him. Canibus even sent Eminem a song called "Phuck You" to collaborate, which insulted both Eminem and LL. However, Eminem turned it down out of respect for LL. This led to almost every song on Eminem's and Canibus's sides insulting each other for a long time. One example is "Without Me," where Eminem pays tribute and mocks Canibus's song "Boxcutter." Canibus went even further and wrote skits about "What if Stan Lived?" which is a reference to Eminem's song "Stan." The biggest insult was a leaked song, "Can-I-B****," where he insults Canibus while also referencing Children's Story by Slick Rick, "The Rip Off," and "How We Roll," both Canibus songs, and even "How High" by Method Man and Redman.
