HuaHua said that each time he sing this song.. it hurt him really deeply .. Its a strong message for fighting depression. BTW... in China, someone say that its hard to talk about depression... its not popular. So Hua is inovating with this trilogy and he hope it will help the young generation.

Mimi D. I know right it’s like a taboo he breaks it so hard and fiercely. He’s such an inspiration, in fact he truly helped people multiple times with depression! He saved at least few lives from suicide for sure. That’s why he is called King of the Martians by his fans (fans are Martians). He’s out of the world, so is his voice. Something we are blessed with, he helps this world becoming better!

Haha 😅😅 loved your rap at the end, made me laugh, in a good way. Hua is hugely inspirational, in many ways, at the moment he is shedding much light on the topic depression. He has done so before, but not like he is doing now. And it has a great effect. He just does that, shedding light on serious topics, not only depression, but environment issues, domestic abuse, cancer etc. His text are always real, no bullshit. Always deep, well thought of lyrics... well, there are of course exeptions, songs for fun, to lighten the mood, to laugh, to smile. He does that too.. He glides so well between all sorts og feelings and all sorts of musical genres.

A sad story, in my school there was a boy who always smiled and laughed and ways very active in the class and school. He had many friends, but yet nobody realised he was actually depressed, nobody noticed it because he smiled so much. People knew he was depressed after he jumped before the train 😭😢 Nobody expected it or saw it coming! I totally agree everyone could be suffering from depression we just need to be kind and try finding these people instead of assuming everyone’s always fine.

Those who are always smiling are really the ones you have to watch out for. Many of them are suffering alone while putting on a facade and don't want to show it to others which misleads people to think that they are not struggling. 😢

This song encourages us to show concern to people around us who have depression and fight depression together. Less judgement, more kindness is the way to go ~~~

Me too want to attend Mars Concert but he mentioned in an interview that he want to focus more on quality than quantity. He believes every concerts should be unique and showcase different things. This explains why he holds so little concerts (and only in China) despite his crazy popularity.

I dont know why this song remind me of my fav artist @qinniart on instagram, she just passed away on feb because of cancer and the news have shocked the whole art industry in the world. She always made joke about her healthy , but i sometimes see the depress from her artwork and felt like want to give her a big hug. Her artwork and her story inspired and motivated me(i believe there are much more people too) in many ways... I know im out of topic , just miss her so much 😢

these lyrics are so important though. I think part of the push back he had about them was referencing being suicidal without calling it suicide. Have you seen him perform I Am What I Am? its a song by someone who was gay back in the 90's i think and after he came out and got all this harassment, he committed suicide. I believe he sings it every year at his Mars concert. And its one of the few songs he leaves as it was originally sung. Its an important topic to him. And when i read those lyrics and saw him stop singing because it feels like he's going to cry...I then break down. He is so brave for putting this out there. This is totally his story. The music video of the 3rd song also gets to me.

Leslie Cheung didn't commit suicide because of harassment, but depression. Him being one of the biggest stars in the Chinese-speaking world from the 80s through the 90s, he was actually quickly re-embraced by fans after he publicly came out as gay in late 1990s. Unfortunately, public opinion and tabloid media can be so incredibly cruel (think what MJ went through). He was actually still active in the entertainment business up until his suicide - nobody and I mean NOBODY in the public saw it coming. When news broke that he had jumped off a hotel in Hong Kong, everybody thought it was a joke, because it happened on April Fool's Day in 2003. Only after his passing did the public began to find out he was already suffering clinical depression and reaching breaking point. I'm sure Hua knows about this and that's why he's so passionate about bringing this issue to light in China and beyond.

I love the melody and the sound of the guitar. I don't need to dive into Hua Hua's lyrics to like his songs and performance. Understanding the lyrics is an added benefit but most translations just cannot capture the right essence of his lyrics. It's a hard-arse job, the translation I mean 😁😁

@華晨宇海外翻譯推廣Hua Chenyu English Subs hahaha awww....your translations aren't bad and I've seen many poor ones. When I find one or two poor choice of words in your translations, I also understand your need to keep to the original Chinese expressions. That being said, your audience for English translation are mainly native English speakers and those illiterate in the Chinese language. I, being one wouldn't be able to relate to the Chinese thought process, or influences that one acquires from knowing the language. I can speak it but just to survive 🤣🤣 and not get lost en route to a tasty experience. Nevertheless, I rather enjoyed Hua Hua's songs and I can feel the emotions from the melody, the instruments and his singing delivery. I can get the gist of it from my basic Chinese language skills. I recently looked up Jackdaw Boy's lyrics in metrolyrics.com and the translation wasn't good quality as it forgets whom the English translation is for. It was a Google Translate version haha. Sad, so sad. Keep up the great work ladies and gentlemen. I know, I can be bloody annoying but it's all for the sake of that lad from Hubei, ya know 😍😍 Cheers.

@華晨宇海外翻譯推廣Hua Chenyu English Subs I appreciate all your hard work translating Hua Hua's songs. I know that when doing this, there are parts that will be more difficult to convey because phrases or sayings may mean something totally different than what the lyrics say. For instance, "in the same boat" in the US means "to be in the same situation " not literally in a boat with someone. So if that were translated to another language it might not make sense. I can only imagine that I might not be getting certain references (not necessarily in this song). But when I read the lyrics to Hua Hua's songs, if I don't quite understand the lyrics, I just listen to him sing, feel his emotions, and try to make sense of the parts I don't know. Sorry for rambling but in a nutshell I really do appreciate the translations as I love Hua Hua's performances!

I usually watch all your Huahua reactions but I got like 6 minutes in and had to click away when you said you would only focus on the his singing and then closed your eyes. 😒 The lyrics were right in this video and after he said that he wrote 3 versions of the lyrics to get it right I felt like it was kind of a slap in the face to him. Sorry I couldnt watch it any further than that.
