Another big hit about this song, is how he, on multiple occasions, loudly announces “IM HOME.” This can be taken as he’s back at home, releasing this album, back home in the rap game. But one of the major messages in NF’s music, is he is talking to the kids out there struggling, the kids who are going through what he went through. As he says, “this is for the kids who feel like they live at the bottom, and every day of their lives feels like it’s darker than Halloween.” Imagine these kids at home, being abused by their parents, as portrayed in the video, how do they feel when their parents arrive home? The fear struck into them when their parents return and announce “I’m home!” Nate here uses that same phrase “I’m home,” to instead bring hope and light to these kids. Nate is home, home with you. “You’re not alone out there, look around you, we got a lot of fans in here.” It’s an amazing way Nate gets deep and personal with his listeners, and tries to make their lives a little less dark.

I love that part of Paid My Dues! He’s always throwing nuggets into his songs and videos for those who really know his music. It’s exactly what you think of the second you see him levitating on the couch. Even people who “go in order” are going to miss it though because it’s just one line in a song. Back in high school the only music I listened to was rock, and very little rap (mainly Eminem, all the guys he was rapping with, and DMX) then after I discovered NF on my Eminem pandora station and making a NF pandora station I started steering more towards Christian rappers! I also listen to lyricists like Tech Nine, Token, Hopsin! If you haven't discovered some of the Christian rappers yet give them a try Lecrae, Ivan B, and Andy Mineo are my other favorites like NF!

When you really consider it. Nate sitting in the plane rapping “this is for the kids feeling like they live at the bottom and every day of their lives feels like it’s darker than Halloween. Nate is so insanely aware of why he makes his music and who for and I LOVE that he embraces that. Like come join us. We’re here. There’s a lot of us. It’s almost as powerful as the image of him and his mom from this. Maybe as powerful just different. NF man. He is hopefully dropping heat soon. Outcast and Outro are actually both on the perception album. He released Outro before the album came out, but it appeared on the perception album. It wrapped up the first 2 albums, and then led into outcast, which is why he's holding the keys that he's locked in the cage with on outcast at the end of this record!

I read that it was just supposed to be a single like No Name or Paid My Dues but in the end they decided to add it to the end of the album. I’ve always thought it was odd to add it to the end but it would also be odd to have the first track of an album called Outro. They probably shouldn’t have put it on the album considering the continuity but I guess they thought it was too good to leave off.

The girl in the brace with the paramedics is from 'I just want to know', the boy raking is from 'Wake Up'. After the wake up referece, he kicks the chair back to reference 'Intro I'. The girl hiding from the parents is in reference to 'Therapy Session' along with the people in the masks. The trash can and little boy sitting on the desk is either foreshadowing 'When I Grow Up' or referencing 'How Could You Leave Us' (Probably How Could You Leave Us). The woman smoking is in reference to 'How Could You Leave Us'. The airplane he walks through is referencing 'Real'. The kid cutting himself by the plane is in reference to 'Therapy Session'.
