Finally... Fucking finally... I've found 2 reactors who have not only recognized the beauty in Tom's artwork but are knowledgeable and articulate enough to describe what makes it so powerful. Flawd and Knox are the most real reactors I have come across. Flawd was actually the very first reactor I have ever watched. I just found Knox today and it took my a while to get here. Forget all that getting up out of the chair and walking off, forget all that pausing the song and just staring at the camera, screw all of that immature behavior, fuck all that superficiality. These two are providing depth which creates meaningful content. The most authentic type of individual you can find, not unlike Tom. Behold the weight the genuine article. Finally found some goddamn adults around here...

Knox Hill ya man, it definitely came with a unique set of challenges. I ended up with 3 completely different vocal chains. 1 for the mid level raps, 1 for the quieter parts (more low end boost, slower deeper compression) and 1 for the angry bits( fast compression, decent amount of distortion...) it was a fun one to mix for sure!

Believe it or not, when the hits a ton of "O" sounds that's when he really rips me. I don't know what it is about that. "ThrOw stOnes... Your caskets full BrOke bOnes..." Maybe because it's a lower, guttural sound than the long A. IDK, but that pulls me in hard. He plays his vowels really, really well. He also pulls on humor, even in his darkest tracks. The play on words and really clever metaphors strike a memorable chord. Damn, I've been lamenting the loss of true poets in the musical world for more than a decade. It all came back in one man. I pray he encourages other artists to up their game.

Tom Macdonald just brought me back into listening to rap again. I will be buying albums from Tom. I have never heard anything like this. This is revolutionary rap. It's obviously soul charged. I understand hate from being honest, without folding up my own views to fit in to "correctness". I write a more acoustic style of music, but this has inspired me to just put out what I believe in my music without worrying that it may or may not fit into cultural correctness. Tom Macdonald, you have just saved me from selling all my music stuff, because I though i couldn't do it on my own, but the fact that you have proven independence doesn't have to slow you down as long as you are willing to put the work in. Man.....I am so thankful to Tom for this.

Wait...is the phrase “step up to the plate” a double entendre itself? I always understood it as a baseball reference (batter stepping up to home plate) but I can see it as someone being ready to eat everything on their plate/they’re hungry to get stuff done...Mind blown.

I'm an old man that just never saw the point of rap and hiphop, probably 'cause it lacks melody, which has always been a huge determiner of what I called music and I just never listened to much of it and the negative gangster life aspect of it was all I thought there was to it. Drugs, hos, guns, etc. Tom's apparent mission to buck that trend has opened me up to a new venue. I was always attracted to songs with lyrics that had meaning and interpreting them was part of the fun, but it was usually in folk, country and blues. Didn't know that rap used those tools as well. To be honest, Tom's political position is what first attracted me. He seems to be able to say a lot of the things that your average white guy can't these days, so I sort of view him as a voice for men of my ilk. Although that is how I got here, now that I'm here I find myself wanting to delve deeper into the genre. A large part of that is due to your breakdown of his songs. I have probably listened to 25 reactions to this song, for instance, and you are the only one that really gave me some head scratching moments where I asked myself, " How did I miss that little play on words?" or, " Okay, I think he's right, that WAS symbolic of ....." So, in short, great job, don't worry about all the pauses ( you actually have something meaningful to say during them ) and you have a new fan and student of the music.

Dude, I loved this reaction. It's the best one I've seen for this song. I not only appreciated the breakdown of the bars, but also the observations you made about the structure of the song. I hadn't consciously noticed the change of instruments happening when the flow changed because I was so focused on the lyrics, but once you pointed it out I took another listen to the song and gained an even greater respect for how complex the music-art of the song was. Great job!

One thing I feel you didn’t catch.. “If ya’ll we’re finding nemo” Mac Lethal was on Ellen, which Tom referenced in his second distrack to Mac.. and Ellen obviously was the voice of Dory in Finding Nemo. I feel he was outlining the Mac thought the sea was safe, but Tom reminded him it’s full of Sharks.

This. This is what makes you so different from other commentary channels... in fact, the person Tom likely was talking about, it's literally how I felt watching him. I just saw him for the first time today because he had a reaction to Tom.. He seems too surface to be able to understand Tom, literally the type of person that frustrates so many of us in all of the different ways Tom speaks on (your perspective is amazing on his lyrics)... the fact that you not only listen, but hear his message, you also break down the actual beats and the technical parts of rap (something when I like it, I know, but otherwise couldn't appreciate without hearing what you say in your reactions). Your intelligence and class shines through. With how deep you think it only makes me feel like I need to listen to your songs multiple times so I'm not missing things from you too! I'm so stoked I came across your channel. 🙂

The big question that's kinda out there, that did Crypt write Mac Lethal's diss to Tom? When I list this I'm gonna miss 2 rappers that I forget there names. Anyhow, Whiteboy was a response to the Tweet "this Whiteboy here ..." from when Tom cut "Dear Rappers", and "Helluvit" to attack mumble rappers that tweet was that rapper thought Tom was racist 2017/2018. YellowPain and Trapp Terell gave a positive reaction to Tom's 'If I was Black' in which viewers had watched it before they pulled it to drop a diss track called 'if you was Black'. But they're busted again because they used reactors positive message of Tom's track, and clipped it to sound anti Tom. Yung $hade, Michael White, Ryan Wyatt all dissed Tom after the Mac Lethal beef. Novatore dissed both Tom and Madchild for their colab project. Recently Blind Fury was on a radio station and did a freestyle in which he did a diss to Tom but fumbled all the way through it.
