I think Calli specifically mentioned that she did the lyric splits unevenly based on who *wanted* more solo parts, so that's why some of them were more prominent than others.

so thats why kiara with the 2 line solo.. and that viking tattoo on her boba... and the unpolished vocal ones (sorry to say this, but it's a fact) choose to pick 1 or 2 lines only. like ame, jiji, shiori, fauna... oh wait. no. jiji took 3 lines I think. for jiji maybe she loves challenges. others afraid to take that. oh and also irys just 1 line even tho she has good vocal

@@DBT1007 Not sure if singing talent had much to do with it. ERB, IRyS, Bae, and Gura all have good vocals but only did one solo line each.

@@culade copied from the song youtube description *please note that lyric splits are unevenly distributed because I based the splits on which talents wanted less solos and more unison parts! Everyone at least has 1 short solo part!* So after making sure everybody have at least one solo lines, she just ask the rest what they prefer. This is a very heavy song with its meaning and implication, so I'm sure like the least confident or the ones with less ability to record high quality audio would opt to have less parts. The better abled ones might also opt to do less to give others more chance to shine. Then there's Gigi Murin, gremlin chaotic vtuber of the year, who I'm sure would say "OK!" before the question even finish every time which explains why she had more parts.
@culadeКүн бұрын
@Fazwick yep, a lot of (unknown to us) factors went into each talent's decision, except the Gremlin. I can see that convo.. Mori: How many lines do you want Gigi? Gigi: Yes! XD Mori: ... -_-

Many of the lyrics are Easter eggs to, of course we got obvious ones like, Myth, Promise, Advent and Justice all being said by a member of those groups, But Nerissa mentioning Name (she has a song "say my name") and Shiori saying Lighting fires (advents song ofc famously saying fire fire light the fire) GiGi saying the mission stays the same, a reference to Justice mission to catch Advent. Kiara saying Sparks remain ofc also reference to Kiara's song "sparks" enc enc

14:30 I think thinking about these kinds of things are a double edged sword. It does bring pain in the moment and can lead to sad thoughts, however it also allows you to pre-process the changes that we will have to deal with so they do not hit as hard later. It also drives you to cherish the things you have before they change. Things are never more precious because they are eternal. Things are precious and worthwhile *because* they are finite and will change. I enjoyed your reaction, and the changes you will go through make me enjoy it more in the moment now.

TBF on “Advent” lyric, all 4 generation titles are mentioned in the lyrics and are sung by a member of those generations, Kronii sung “Promise”, Ina sung “Myth”, Fuwamoco sung “Advent”, and Elizabeth sung “Justice”. I don’t think Calli intended this, but all those are sung by Canadians except for “Justice” as that is the only generation without a Canadian, but I guess all are from a country under British commonwealth?

Calli had a production credit for this song, so she was definitely very involved in the arrangement. The lyrics do seem to be a reflection on graduation and its inevitability, but more in a way that suggests acceptance (while I feel like Last Days from Phantomime was her more raw and desperate reaction to learning some were leaving). Elliot Hsu by the way is a composer who has worked with Calli quite a bit. He also did Non-fiction for Myth and three solo Calli songs, Ibasho, UnAlive and Ouroboros.

About Mumei… she has this whole deeper register that sounds amazing. There is a (technically) unarchived karaoke where she sang “Kick back” the chainsaw man op…just wow. This is it: kzbin.info/www/bejne/iJzMepSHppJ1gtksi=GtXCQC6L57_iLGzW (if you jump to 1 min 40 sek you hear the switch) Totally out of pocket but I love Bae’s voice

Without going to the karaokes, where we can ear Mumei's wide range and different styles in all her beautiful silliness, there is that bit in Mindcraft where she go even deeper then in here

@ true but that part is pretty short. It sounds amazing, but it doesn’t really showcase how comfortably Mumei can sing in that deeper range.

From what I understand, this song was in the works for quite a long time. I might be remembering incorrectly, but I think Calli had said that that a lyric rewrite/addition was needed along the way because Justice came on to the scene. She'd also talked about the mixing process for the track taking a very long time... makes sense if you have a relatively short track with 19 performers and the express intent to NOT have them sound like a unified choir. It's a bittersweet track for sure. Thanks to Hollywood movies, I usually associate that folk music (especially with a lilt) to be an attempt to lift spirits for the crowd, like after a defeat in battle, or after a funeral procession, or whatnot. I don't think that was necessarily their intent, but it does tug on the heartstrings a little harder with Ame & Fauna's departures. I'm really glad that they were able to be included in the track though, so there's only one past member who didn't take part (But Sana's been gone and happily pursuing other ventures for years now). Screw it, it's a day before Fauna graduates, it should be fine to talk about now. Before she joined Hololive, she was a decently successful independent vtuber "Lemonleaf". About a month back, right before her graduation announcement, a few new short videos were posted on that old KZbin channel, so a lot of people are assuming she intends to return to that role. Nobody really knows for sure at this point, though returning to an independent western-located streamer will give her the most flexibility... who knows though, maybe she'll be a wild card and join up with one of the more lax agencies like Vshojo like KSON did. We'll just have to wait and see. It's sad to see Fauna step down, but there's so much fear mongering and doom posting about it, it's crazy. It's mostly from folks who view the girls as just a bunch of college friends, and an evil corporation who can do no right, looming over them, which just isn't the case. It's a job and a grind, and people change jobs all the time for many reasons. You're right, we don't know what happened internally for her to make the decision to leave, and we'll likely never know the details (just like departures from ANY corporation). The important part is that she'll be continuing on elsewhere, so if you enjoy her content, there'll be more to come, just like Ame. And Cover even put out a statement on New Years that touched on management issues, working toward improving it in the coming months, and they're even hiring more management roles. No clue on if they let some management go and they're hiring to replace those roles, or if they were understaffed and are finally bringing more on. If it was truly a terrible and unreasonable toxic place for everybody, I'm sure there'd be more than one or two leaving sporadically, and you'd have the canaries in a coal mine (like Fubuki & Kronii among others) leaving as well.

15:49 my man, you have the exact same view on this as I do. In the end, all of the members will leave at some point, whether it's because they no longer see eye to eye with management or they're ready to retire. The way I see it, what's best is to cherish the time we have with these wonderful, talented artists. And when they do end up leaving, support them in whatever they choose to do next
