The live performances of this have been completely wild and the crowds are going nuts! 🤘🤪🤘 This is Momometal's first official music video since she was revealed as the official new member in April and she even got her own solo part with the spoken kabuki theatre section. The song title translates as 'Metali' (or 'Metari') which is a fusion of the words metal and matsuri (festival). The song is about a Metal Village holding a metal festival, so they have included all the matsuri shouts everybody would be calling out as encouragement to the people carrying heavy floats etc like "Sore, Sore", "Dokoisho" and "Wasshoi!". They are inviting us all to dance - I am reliably informed there is something in the lyrics (I think in Momometal's kabuki section) about we are all idiots or fools - the idiots who watch and the idiots who dance ... so as we're all here and we're all idiots why just watch, we may as well all dance.

Baby metal came to a small venue down the street from me but had no clue who they were at the time. The place has a max capacity of 200 people. They have come a long way.

Where and when was that? Unless it was 10+ years ago they have never played a venue so small. Yes in the US they do play venues as small as 1500 capacity but that is about as small as it gets.

I thoroughly it was 2014 to 16. Can't remember the exact date. Oh it was Stafford Palace theater in Connecticut. Wasn't long after the soulfly and havok tour. I remember that much.

In this case you're right: it's about talent. And most unusually this is an example of a talented **Production**. My general opinion of highly produced entertainment is that it is often soulless and really lacking in creativity and inspiration. But for this production, the pure joy and enthusiasm evident/unavoidable from the jump, alongside the talent on display from top to bottom.
