They have 3 subunits. Vocal, performance and hip-hop. I'm personally a vocal unit girlie but i think you guys would love the hip-hop unit songs. All 13 members are all rounders and seventeen is the performance powerhouse and are also called synchronization kings

This is that group! I love soooooooo many group and got into K-pop because of BTS. Seventeen is right up there with BTS as my top male groups. Self produced, came up from the bottom like BTS and they saved their label as well. In 2020, Big Hit (bts’s label) acquired Pledis (SVT’s label) and are now sub labels under what is HYBE now. They are self produced, involved in their choreography and performances, and even have a really popular variety show because these guys are the funniest most chaotic group out there and with 13 members it’s even more fun. This group has it all. And they have huge respect for BTS and is grateful for them paving the way for K-pop especially in the US. Please react to Hot and Super. Oh yes you need to learn more about HYBE’s umbrella they are a conglomerate now.

OMG I LOVE SEVENTEEN 😍🔥 I totally understand why 13 members might seem like a lot, but in SEVENTEEN’s case, each member brings unique talents and strengths. They aren’t just fillers; they have distinct roles within the group that enhance their music and performances. The unit system allows them to specialize in areas like vocals, dance, and rap, which makes their performances even more dynamic. Plus, their teamwork is incredible, and their music really reflects that! Btw, they’re known as ‘Self-Producing K-pop Idols,’ meaning they write their own songs and create their own choreography, which really sets them apart. And with titles like ‘K-pop Performance Powerhouse’ and ‘Kings of Synchronization,’ their impressive dance skills and vocal talent are hard to beat. So since you guys just started to explore their music, I definitely recommend listening to ‘SUPER’ 🔥 it’s a great introduction to their energy and teamwork!

I highly recommend to watch Super M/V and their dingo killing voice. And yes most of the members (not all) have a solo songs they also have songs from different unit (Hiphop, Performance, Vocal) and the special sub-unit like SVT Leaders (3 leaders from the 3 units) and BooSeokSoon (BSS). Seventeen are self made artists who debuted with a dollar and a dream and saved their company, Pledis, from bankruptcy. They were the second best selling artist after BTS starting from 2019 (now first with 6.4M sales from one album) which is why HYBE went into debt to acquire Pledis as their first sub company. Their reputation in the entertainment industry is quite notorious for being veterans in comedy, their theatrical performances, having a very close bond as a team with 13 members and being humble (literally). They're also the first group to be self producing idols who participate in producing their whole discography and having name credits in choreographing. I've been a kpop stan singe 2017 and I can assure you SEVENTEEN is the most perfect team in the entire industry. They are quite literally considered the best performers in kpop by both experts & idols. For a club, they rarely playing an idol music except that hit on korea (if the song only hit in international but not hit in korea, then they wont play it. People at there more prefer their own taste or preferences than international taste for music). Idol music is segmented in korea, not get accept by general public since general public in korea not really into idol music (beside, they have prejudice against idol music as manufactur music and views idol ia not a true musician, rather just a performance coz most of idol didnt make their own music, only sing n perform the song that company give to them). It's just few of idol group who make their own music, but not all self producing idol group song can get accept by korean public taste. But once public like the song, it will become a hit n popular in nationwide. And in some case, general public may know the song but not the artist lol...

I am Seventeen fan and I hope you will keep reacting to them. They have a new album coming up. They do have some individual songs but no individual albums as of yet However, since they are starting their own military rotation, I reckon they are going to start having more individual projects. Also, yes, Seventeen is under Hybe ... But they were producing real amazing music and MV before their company got under Hybe. As musicians, you may like the fact that they are self-produced!!! Woozi is credited on almost all of their songs!!! This particular song was one where he was challenging the "AI is taking over the arts" by showing that he can mix and play with sound, instrumental, rhythm, and vocals in a way that an AI cannot. Which is why it really has a distinct sound to it.

Oh wow. I really appreciate you two looking up the group afterwards and getting the basics. Cool of you. This song was probably the most unexpected and unpredictable and experimental that they’ve done. They do tend to switch things up a lot. And a lot of times you really don’t know what to expect with them. This song is the title track on their latest album, which is a ‘best of’ album. The album contained this song and three new unit songs, along with a repackaging of all of their title tracks from the past nine years, as well as the Korean versions of their Japanese hits. Woozi incorporated samples and elements from I believe it was seven of their previous songs into Maestro. Maestro was also sort of a take on the ‘human versus AI’ discussion. Now, for recommendations. If you want to see a variety of things they’ve done over the past nine years, then I would suggest the Killing Voice. If you want more songs like Maestro, then I would recommend Hot and Super. If you want something more hip-hop, then I would recommend Lalali (by the hip hop unit) and Cheers (by the leaders). But I enjoy all of their stuff. They don’t slack on the vocals or dancing either.

I sub'd with anticipation of this channel going down the Seventeen rabbit hole. I just want to say that I know you mentioned BTS and Black Pink, and they are phenomenal and much respected by Seventeen and our fandom. However, you will find that Seventeen is hands down the BEST in kpop, within Generation 3-5 of kpop. Now with that said, nobody can fuqs with BTS' rapline, they are the best. But for vocals, dancing, visuals, hiphop, creativity, production, and overall synergy Seventeen is the best. Oh and if you really want your socks knocked off, then please watch the accompanying Choreography Video for each MV you watch!!!
