I haven't been so excited for a band in a while. I barely heard of these guys a few months before the lost in the waves album rollout and I've been floored. Such a unique band that offers so many subgenre of metal, rock and hip hop. Def need to check out visage, say no word or rainfall from the new album, or anything they got really because they rip lol.

They use the V because if you just search landmarks it comes up as a bunch of historical points of interest

I believe the reason that bands like LANDMVRKS, Chvrches, and Pvris use the V to replace the actual vowel in their name so that it is easier to google them. Trying to find them on the internet would be tricky otherwise as the top search would be the definition of the words landmark and church, or a description of the city Paris.

They are metalcore from France and they mash genres. Definitely check out more. Most of their songs sound different from each other and the vocalist is crazy talented and yes he has labeled Chester as an influence. Also my name is taken from Godzilla. I grew up watching him lol

Landmvrks are a metalcore band, but they lean a lot more into the hardcore side of things. Especially that higher pitch, quick tempo yell of the vocalist and some of those riffs in the verse. They bounce and are designed for two-stepping. It's a pretty representative song of Landmvrks, though definitely one of their strongest tracks and they don't always have those really low vocals that featured in the breakdown. There's not much straight up hardcore making a splash these days. These guys are pretty small and I can almost guarantee no one's going to recommend them, but seriously, check out Stasis - Far From You for some cracking contemporary melodic hardcore. It has a filthy bass groove breakdown and massive gang vocal outro. It might be because of what you've been exposed to doing this channel, but it is still incredibly normal and kind of always has been for bands to have two guitarists and a bassist. Across the alternative scenes, whether it's pop punk or emo through to mathcore or metal, it's more atypical to have just the one guitarist.
