I think John Goblikon is their “manager”. A lot of people get it mistaken that he’s the singer. Pretty fun little gimmick for sure. And the makeup is really well done. He does an interview show with musicians and other famous cats too.

love Nekrogoblikon so much. found them on fuckin Myspace back in the day, their first album was free to download and it was so good. They've never taken themselves seriously, but the 2nd album definitely took a bit more typical metal sound and was a bit less goofy than the first. And their videos are glorious. "Gimmick" and "Dressed as Goblins" are the big ones, but I'd actually recommned checking out a song of their first album like "They Came From Space" or "Goblin Island".

Yes, Nekrogoblikon!! Love that you did this. John Goblikon is like their biggest fan and he goes with them on tours. He even has his own show on KZbin. The band members themselves are regular humans. Give "the many faces of Dr. Hubert Malbec" a try, it sound a bit more Powermetal-ish. Powercore and Magic Spider are two great songs as well by them. Give it a try 😁

Didn't really see anyone explain this: the name is a play off of the Necronomicon, a creation of HP Lovecraft, which has been utilized by many future artists in various works, such as Evil Dead. The name mixes this with a theme of goblins. There is a loose lore from their first album and on that involves goblins from space ravaging earth. Really, really, truly fun and talented, unique band.

Well to be fair the original Evil Dead was never meant to be a comedy. Sam Raimi just had no money and it was one of his first movies so it was just incredibly low budget and the end result was an unintentionally hilarious movie. Now for the sequels, he went all in on the comedy/horror angle. So the 2013 remake is basically the movie Sam Raimi wanted to make in 1981 but was never able to do.
