Their bands name was actually One O'clock since they were always practiced in a studio at 1 o'clock cuz the rent is cheaper in that time.. But as the time goes by it became one okrock and later on One Ok Rock.. Japanese can't enunciate R and L properly. They tend to swap it that is why the bands name One O'clock became One OK rock.. Also, that is their own concert. Mightly Long fall is the name of the concert. It is on 2014 .. They are pretty big in Japan.. Their concert tours were always held in arena's, stadium's and dome's.. They can gather for over 50K people in their concert.. Glad that you check them out live since they are very well known and very great in that aspect.. Also, I admire that you two still able to remember the first song you reacted to them, cuz as far as I remember, it is monthsssss that passed after your first reaction to them.

Yokohama is basically an extension of Tokyo, an enormous city of four million (2nd largest in Japan) with a lot of high-class entertainment centers. The audience in Yokohama stadium is wall to wall, seating 72,000 people for concerts. One OK Rock is already a super group in Asia, and America is just behind the eight-ball, as usual fixated upon its own over-produced music market, and thus largely missing out. And, no, this is not a festival, but mentioning that brings to mind when I watched a youtube video of them playing an American 3rd stage at some American festival to dozens. This was a killer performance to dozens, for a band that fills every single venue they book in Asia. That video was an event six months after a Tokyo performance to 100,000 people. We Americans need to get out of the cave. Genre is straight up mainstream rock. Right down the middle.

This band draws these kinds of crowds all on their own in Asia. They are beyond fantastic live. They have been together for almost 20 years. Their name comes from the fact that they used to practice at 1 o’clock as it cost less for studio time!!! And the titles are NOT translations. And the song is MOSTLY in English, which they mostly do. That they all speak English as well as they do ALWAYS impresses the hell out of me. They all play multiple instruments, the drummer is an amazing pianist, the bass player is a gorgeous electric cello player. The guitarist and band leader literally stalked Taka for months. They have been together close to 20 years, Taka is 34, they celebrated his birthday in Serbia while making the video for Save Yourself. And the Omni was a GREAT venue. My brother used to play for the Atlanta Flames lol

Welcome to the amazing world of One OK Rock live! And yes, this is indeed their own crowd. :) I desperately tried to get tickets to the Ambition Japan tour when I was there and it was utterly impossible. ;_; They run the gamut from soft pop-rock to this heavier version. I hope you'll explore more of their discography, especially live (although be careful of YT strikes, as Japanese labels are notorious for taking down live performances at least in the past). Fun fact #1: Taka, the lead singer, was indeed member of a JPop group very briefly in his younger days. Thank goodness he ended up blessing us with his amazing vocals in OOR instead! :D Fun fact #2: The guitarist and band leader, Toru, literally stalked Taka until he gave in and became the lead singer.

I'm very impressed with smokeys memory an knowledge. I'm also going to send this to my niece. She's into the whole kpop scene. As a hard-core metalhead I can say this blew me away. One thing I noticed (granted I'm still waking up) was the guitarist had his hand up yet the guitar was still playing. Maybe it was a delayed video or I need more coffee. Thank you guys from the bottom of my heart for exploring all types of music. Even a family friend who's petty much a uncle to my nieces and me (who I will not name but will name if hollywood or smokey asks) and still performs at mid 70s, he listens to EVERYTHING. I would have never thought that. We even had a conversation about cannibal corpse lyrics. Super nice guy and very laid back and chill.

Got to see them live in PA about 5 years ago when they were touring America, they were supposed to tour with LINKIN park that same year but Chester passed and they did a tribute to him by singing One More Light from LPs new album. They’re opening acts that night we’re: 5 seconds of summer and Palisades both of which blew up in the past few years but Taka and the group of One Ok Rock are AMAZING performing live and never have a dull moment. Rivaled Slipknot to me in live performance.

This song sounded great. The singer has a fantastic voice. Got one for you, though I don't think you're ready. Sound Chaser by Yes. It's hard to get the first time. My mother hated it so much, she broke my LP. After I bought a new copy. She heard it differently. Not a fan, but understood what was happening at a higher level. Good luck, guys.

Okay listen up I just turned 60 years old I'm from Bakersfield California and I've seen more live concerts than you ever will by the time you were born mostly all hard rock and heavy metal and this band one okay rock will be the second artist I've ever left a comment about the first one being Adele who is obviously in a class by herself but this is a great band and I've seen them all numerous times but I came across this band about a year ago by way of the song save yourself do yourself a favor and check out the official video phenomenal and the list would be too long of recommended songs by this band but I'll give you two of them that will absolutely blow you away the song cry out live and the song nothing helps live at Yokohama Stadium I promise you you will be massively impressed as I am

When we met, the pain stood still, it was us Then suddenly it's where'd you go The system blew, I knew This side of me, I want a little more But inside it seems, I'm just a little boy Nothing else! Don't go! It's a mighty long fall When you thought love was the top Oh no, It's a wake up call When your life went into shock It seems like gravity keeps pulling us back down Don't go! It's a mighty long fall When you know time is up When we said these lies for love It was us This side of you, show me a little more But in time I'll see, you're just a little score So down with it, down we go Don't go! It's a mighty long fall When you thought love was the top Oh no! It's a wake up call When your life went into shock It seems like gravity keeps pulling us back down Don't go! It's a mighty long fall When you know time is up Time is up! Get up! Get up! Get up! Get up! Time to make amends for what you did Get up! Get up! Get up! Get up! Running with the demons in your head Let's shout it out completely Never really wanna know Let's shout it out, we're screaming Don't go! It's a mighty long fall When you thought life was the top Oh no! It's a wake up call When your life went into shock It seems like gravity keeps pulling us back down Don't go!
