You notice the lyrics asked the angel how to cross the river, HE asks the question. The angel answers and that's when the female voice joins for the first time in harmony, SHE answers. She's telling him to transcend all that drags us down to become what we were meant to be. To be whole in heart and mind and cross together to the other side. Just my take.

Maynard got these lyrics off the Manson forums. He didn't write em. The crossing of the river was based on a movie where a group of people during the middle ages had to cross a river by holding hands.

Omgosh I just love watching & being part of this musical journey & discussion with you guys. This song has such a beautiful, ominous tone. So completely opposite of Conditions of my Parole, which is hilarious & funky. Puscifer is such a mixed bag, can't say I totally love all of it but when MJK makes us wait 13 yrs for new Tool, I'll listen to whatever he wants to experiment with!

Congrats fellas. This, in my opinion, is another stone of Maynard Knowledge that you have soaked in extremely well. I'd highly recommend Perfect Circle- disillusioned. It is very accurate pertaining to how people these days live their lives VICARIOUSLY through many outlets rather than living for others and for ourselves.

Guys, don’t worry about where you enter the “Puscifer Waters”. They’ve evolved so much in their time, but not in the same sense as Tool. Puscifer’s evolution is not one that has a required path. Their music is a perfectly engineered mix of synth and instrumental, and also a 180 from Tool. MJK falls into the background with Tool, but is outlandish with the characters of Puscifer.

Yeah so I’ve not really listened to more than like two songs by Puscifer, nothing by APC. I’ve been obsessed with Tool for the last six months, still listening to their entire catalog and exploring it as much as I can, so maybe it is about time to start dabbling 🤷🏽‍♂️

Puscifer’s song writing is now done mostly by MJK & Matt (who also works with Maynard at his vineyard) in their off time. Carina lives in the UK, so once songs are brought to a certain point, she’s brought in to colab on those perfectly placed backing vocals.

Great reaction guys. This song has Maynard's son Devo on Cello. New Puscifer album came out Oct.30th called "Existential Reckoning". Bedlamite is a good song to start please. Puscifer- Pussy fur. A Perfect Circle- the rear end hole. Tool- A man's tool. The song (Rev 22:20) from Puscifer's first album had the actress Milla Javovich on vocals. Puscifer also released two funny single's called "The World Up My Ass" and "Cuntry Boner". LOL

ok it's time. You absolutely HAVE to check out the band CLUTCH. Name any other band that's been together since 91, and have HAD THE SAME 4 MEMBERS THE ENTIRE TIME. They tour CONTINUALLY, and have put out top notch music their entire career. Hardest working band in music... Not to mention bone of the most respected jazz drummers in the industry, playing for a heavy rock band! Their gateway song is Electric Worry, but they've changed styles so many times through their career one song can't give a proper introduction to the band. So i'll also suggest X-Ray Vision, Crucial Velocity, Careful with that Mic, Soapmakers, Burning Beard...jesus there are so many excellent songs!
