To me, it feels great to hear that even the best Hip Hop artists out there, gives high props to Eminem. Even the haters out there have to admit that Eminem is the greatest. Even if the haters don't want to admit it, they have to have some kind of admiration towards him. A guy that came from nothing, started from nothing and now the biggest star there is. Like Dre said, Eminem has turned Hip Hop on it's head for his lyrical style & form when he sings. He is a wordsmith without a doubt! He also pays Homage to the original artists who started Hip Hop. It was all black in Hip Hop and I understand that it was hard for a white rapper to be part of the genre but he did. Thanks to him, there are beginning to get some more white guys in the Hip Hop, in the rapping business. At first, some black guys were a little hesitant to openly like a white rapper (for whatever reasons) but when you see the kinda success he's reached, and the high regard he's held by all the industries biggest names, that showed the world- Embrace that man, give him his flowers. He deserves it.

He still has that problem. Quick story, I was locked up when I was younger and one time I was having this discussion with 2 black guys. 1 of them was agreeing with me and saying that hands down lyrically it's not even close, Em is the GOAT. The other guy kept saying that he can't be because he couldn't relate to "the struggle". The other guy said he can more than relate to the struggle, he went through his own struggle while going through "the struggle" etc. Finally the other guy said verbatim "Are you really gonna make me say it in front of him? (Meaning me) Fine. He can't be the GOAT because he's not a black man. He can't relate to the black struggle". Now look through some of these comments, people still feel the same way unfortunately today. At this point it feels like some of that will probably never change, on both sides and I'm talking about racism now not hip hop.

To them, admitting Em (a white man) is better than them at something has more to do with racial pride than anything. Personally, I have no problem with giving white, black, latino, or asian ppl credit if their good at something. But some folks are still salty, alot of jealousy & envy in the world. It's cool though.
