Philippine, United States coast guards hold joint drills near Lubang Island

The Philippine Coast Guard and the United States Coast Guard complete a Joint Passing Exercise (PASSEX) on Tuesday, July 16, in waters off Lubang Island. The exercise involved the PCG's BRP Melchora Aquino (MRRV 9702) and the USCG's Cutter Waesche (WMSL-751).
The exercises was conducted to enhance their respective capabilities to respond to maritime emergencies and contingencies, according to the PCG. rappler.com
