It’s not her fault that when she goes on hiatus, she’s still talked about and is missed so much. Without Nicki, female rap would literally be dead right now. I’m so glad that I grew up listening to Nicki because I know how it feels to see a woman (especially black) running a male dominated field. She’s showing these girls how to do and making it impossible for them (imo expect Doja she’s doing amazing) to keep up. Nicki has been rapping for what almost 20 years, but has been mainstream for 12-14 years. Her longevity is there! Sadly when she retires (frfr), female rap is gonna be a whole lot different. Her going on hiatus is just a sneak peak of what it would be like.
