After removing my rear bumper, I eliminated the rust with Rust Kutter, painted the inside with Rustoleum Bedliner, sanded it down with an angle grinder and palm sander, then primed and painted the exterior with Raptor and put the original trim back on. I think it's a pretty huge improvement.
