After so many 'good' heavy Euros came out last year, it's nice to snack on a light fun game once in while...but I have trouble finding one that does not feel 'too light' or too much like a game I already own. This seems like it could work, and the theme certainly pleases. Thanks for doing this review!

My gf and I went to a local board game cafe, and we gave this one a whirl. Loved it. I was surprised how much she liked it, actually. It's really interesting how the better abilities have higher numbers and are harder to pull off, but the lower numbers could give your opponent too many action points. Brilliant in its simplicity.

This ended up being maybe my favorite two-player game from last year. It was between this and 7 Wonders: Duel. This one ends up getting more play, though. Love the theme.

I really wanted to like this game. I love the art and everything about it, but for some reason the game caused way too much tension/frustration and stress for my wife and I. We are both easy going gamers, so it was surprising for us that we were having this sort of reaction while playing. We tried 7 Wonders Duels the same night and we really loved that game.

(Lol replying to a 3 year old comment, but...) It might be the "hunted" factor. When it's just two players, one is hunting and the other is being hunted... the tension increases more than just a regular "vs" game. Chasing, getting closer, "I'mgonnadie I'mgonnadie...", fleeing, "where can I go??", "not my baby Raptors!" Lol etc. Why the movies are also so frigging tense, imo.
