I don’t think it was necessarily a man vs women narrative. This was taking the two best shooters from their leagues and having a competition. I love that she shot from the men’s three point line because she believed in her abilities and wanted the playing field more equal. I personally think it was an awesome event showcasing that the wnba players can ball and hopefully she did inspire both young girls and boys!

Amazing to watch but I'm starting to agree with Coach Pop: "Why don't we introduce a 4 point shot, 5 point shot? Turn it into a real circus." If the goal is to get the ball past midcourt and get it to the 3 point shooter, what happened to passing, dribbling, picks, screens, rebounding? I think it makes for a boring game. There are folks that thought dunking would ruin the game, and that was a legitimate concern when three was only one 7 footer on the court, but that's changed. Anybody can be a 3 point shooter. There was a guy on the telecast, just some old dude, who made over 100 in a row. Is that basketball? I don't think he could do a layup, but he could make 100 3 pointers. I'd rather watch Kyrie Irving drive the lane than Luka Doncic shoot 3s all night. It's just not a very broad skill set.
