No. It was not a good loss. It was a disappointing one. The guys outplayed Nuggrts for 95% of the game & Jokic getting away w/ blatant fouls.

Think you can still be impressed by how they played while understanding Scottie got hurt + not friendly whistle against a contending team. Games the game.

@@raptorsrepublic Imo Denver is not a contending team. If Golden State & Lakers are not so does Denver. The Joker got a way with a lot of blatant fouls last night & Darko failed to address it in the post game last night b/c Jokic is his countryman. This loss dhould be strike 2 on Darko, he did this same thing at Denver last season when the team was up 23 in the 3Q. Let's call a spade a spade. The guys in red & white gave everything they had tonight minus some sloppy tos that could have been preventable had Darko called time out & calm is team down & advise thrm to manage the shot clock properly. I mean with 1min to go the gm was 112 -106 in favour of Raps. What happened after was atrocious.

this is similar to last year, they start gaining chemistry than injury, when scottie returns someone else will prob get injured. We will be the best 2-17 team in nba history. lol

I did not like a having big when Jokic is on the floor. A lot of attention on Jokic and so many openings for threes. Also, this allows guards confused on who to guard.

There needs to be accountability for serious injuries to prevent their recurrence. It's hard to believe Jokic didn’t see Scottie, similar to the injury to Quickley, yet both opposing players continued playing. Toronto and the NBAPA need to better protect players. Garland even said “Eye for an Eye” before the game. The referee bias is obvious (21 vs 30 Denver foul shots). It's 2024-implement AI officials already. Seeing our heroes mistreated is traumatizing for the community. Denver got desperate last night, like the Celtics last week. Tanking is unnatural and bad for our youth; we deserve adequate replacements for our intentionally injured starters. Nuggets was gifted a win by Darko & NBA refs. As a coach that has 28 years experience, when your team was in the clutch up 9 and turning over the ball non stop why didn't he call a time out, calm the guys down & tell them to manage the pace of the gm. Run the posessions to almost a full 24s. Shame!!

I blame a couple players fir not managing the clock late in the 4th. Darko is doing a good job competing with all these no-name rookies

I swear every nuggets game is always down to wire. Or we lead for majority then lose in OT or end to buzzer time seconds.
@Alans_Dino_BitesКүн бұрын
The Raptors did not have many calls go their way tonight, and we can't just blame the refs here. They had late double-digit leads, and they blew it in the end, a very Maple Leaf-esque ending.

I thought there were points in the game where Jamal Shead was trying to do too much offensively, resulted in wasted possessions.

So many ways the Raps could have won that game - e.g. making FTs at the end. Scottie going down resulted in an easy basket for Denver. Oh well. Not calling the TO at the end - was that anything other than a tank move? T-Wolves and Nuggets games perfectly illustrate what could be the greatest tank in history - exciting, competitive games that develop the youth. OTOH, Darko did match Jak's minutes with Jokic - 40 each. So Mogbo didn't get as many minutes as we'd like to see. Shead is obviously an exciting prospect, but Davion's passing the last two games plus his 3 for 6 from 3 last night was pretty nice to see. When IQ comes back, Shead can go down to the 905 to perfect his shooting, which he's obviously been working on. And speaking of shooting, Ochai has clearly leveled up. With Scottie out, he probably gets to start again, and he deserves it. Or, and hear me out, we start Mogbo in place of Scottie. Of course. a Jak-Mogbo frontcourt isn't exactly ideal. I was more looking forward to seeing how Kelly O. and Mogbo would play together. But Darko was putting all-defence, no shooting lineups out there last night, and they did well. Assuming it's a not-too-serious injury - e.g. the orbital break - Scottie can still do serious non-contact practice. Not the worst case scenario. But it's concerning that we haven't heard anything yet.

Shead offers more play creation than Davion IMO. I doubt he'll see much 905 time at all this year.
