Those pens remind me HEAVILY of the crayola brush pen marker things I got for my students back when I was an art teacher, and they were fun but frustrating. I hated that the caps couldn't be put on the back because of the weird taper!!! I really like that yours are actually brushes though, not felt tips. Also, I think it's valuable that you showed your struggles with opening them!!! That's stuff people need to know about!!!

Baby oil works pretty well too. You just need to put baby oil on any kind of tissue and scratch the rest of the sticker with it. After you just need to clean the baby oil with a tissue soak with a little bit of water and dry the water with another piece of tissue :3

I think the pens are what add the special cute effect. If she had used copics it may have looked cleaner, but not as unique. I adore this piece. It makes me happy.

I really dislike when brands like disney just push out all these crappy products and call it good. The lack of proper yellow makes me just facepalm. If they put the cheapest proper quality watercolor pens in there and upped the price a little maybe someone could seriously think of buying this, but in this case.. No way! I'd definitely be interested in more Disney themed videos. I love the art on the new Rapunzel merch and I saw this set but stationary from the Disney Store isn't usually very good quality so I opted to get the journal instead of the paint set. Baylee Jae I know that you are an amazing artist, and you make great art even with "cheap supplys" but, there are "artists" that think that you can colour only with Copics, make digital art only with Photoshop and a Wacom and scetch whitout reference pictures just because "that's what it takes to be an artist". I am 100% sure that if you want, even with what you have, you can make anything happen. 😊

I sort of expected this to be the type of video on your new kids channel, not your main one. While I'm TOTALLY not adverse to cheap art supply videos, the whole tone of this is really... juvenile. I don't mean the art is bad or you're immature or that you shouldn't make videos for kids, just that the intended audience for this video is not the same audience as your older videos. And not because it's a Disney art set. Maybe it's because you've changed the commentary style? Or maybe the shift is intentional?

I don't think having real time commentary makes it for kids. It has to be the set and/or the drawing subject, because I often do real time commentary when I'm trying out a product for the first time. I think you're comparing it to my speedpaint videos, which are a whole other type of video. This one is more of a product review and first impressions, not a speedpaint. Also, this is not the type of content that will be on the kids art channel. Those videos will be MUCH simpler and targeted to an even younger audience. There will not be product reviews or anything like that. It will be basic line-by-line drawing tutorials for simple objects, and every video will follow the exact same format. This channel is for more detailed art and variety when it comes to video format and materials used.

Baylee Jae it's not the set or drawing subject. it's the things you're saying about the drawings, the tone of your comments, that seem (to me) to be geared toward a much younger audience. the reason I mentioned maybe it's unintentional due to the commentary style is talking and being thoughtful or reflective while you're doing something is a lot harder. you're focused on what you're doing, so it can be used to focus equally on what you're saying. but maybe that's not the reason at all. either way, it's just my perception that this- what you're saying, how you're saying it, "who" you're talking to- comes across as a lot younger.

Erin I know people in their 30's that turn into a 10 year old when Disney/Pixar comes up in conversation. This video was meant to be a fun little thing to show, AND review a product from a fun loving artists perspective. I personally felt she was mature about it. Had this of been a speed paint like she said, it would have been a totally different format. She'd be reflecting and looking over her work while talking. Where as here she's talking "directly" to the audience as she works in a separate recording side by side.
