I am so glad I found this channel, it reminds me of how much fun and exciting drag racing once was. It is very sad to see what NHRA drag racing has become. That said the no-prep racing scene is at least for now reviving a lot of made drag racing such a universal spot

Wonderful to see these old films. Just wish I could find my old 8mm film of Sundland Raceway in El Paso and Hobbs, NM from 1962-1964 When Dick had his black 409, the red Hayden Proffitt car he bought, his white Z-11 and then black 64 Chevelle's.

We hope you find it too! Maybe when you are looking for something else you'll uncover the film. Seems that's how it always works :-) Thank you for watching!

Great stuff, only wish someone has some '67 UDRA funnies footage. Muncie Dragway had one as a warm-up for the Nats that was a classic.

Thanks for sharing this. I honestly believed it was better back when the dragsters and funny cars were going slower, modern day cars are too fast for my old brain and eyes to keep up with.

Sound? Sound? We don't need no stinking sound. You got nitro, you got funny cars, top fuelers and seriously jungle jim burnouts, who needs sound. Another amazing trip back in time to Long Island, NY. Thanks for sharing. If you didn't share them we have to watch NASCAR. Oh the horror!
