The tea is too sweet because you're using a small cup -.-Russian cups are usually much larger.

The first dish is barley porridge. In Russia this particular brand is called "pearl kasha", or "shot 16 ga" (army slang) due to its size.

Serving in the Marine Corp during the 70's all I got were the C-rations. It's really fun to see what other military's service their soldiers. Thanks for sharing and great job explaining what they are. Thumbs up and now a subscriber!

Recon Ranger Was Your Ration Delicious Or Worst?
@reconranger1370
@reconranger1370 7 жыл бұрын
LOL, well I cant say they were the worst food I ever tasted. Some that Marines liked and them other they didn't. I liked the ham and eggs, but others didn't. Beanies ans Weenies were also a favorite. I cant really say at any time they were delicious. All of us carried spices for the meals, my favorite was Tabasco, which could turn just about anything into edible. Bottom line, they gave us energy when we needed it. :-) Urah!

The right way to heat main meals is to heat them up unopened. Please belive me - they will not explode

Sergey Dubnikov I'll try that in the future. I've had a foil pack like this explode in the past. Assumed that would be the case with these too. But point taken. I will try it unopened next time

hey next time don't take the lids all the way off just pull the corner back and leave the foil on them that's how your supposed to use them cause it holds the heat in close to the food try it next time and you'll see that it's hotter and heats up faster good video seriously try it out next time

Great review and congratulations on cracking the big 10K. That didn't take long did it? I wonder why they feel the need to have a ration for prison guards when it's quite similar to a standard IRP? And they call the ration review community niche !! Wow. Good food either way.

I like very much your straight forward way you make your videos. I don’t care what care about all the information on the outside of any MRE. I am interested in what is on the inside. Have said that I don’t need the food broken down by every molecule. Just present the contents in a straight forward comprehensive manor just like you do! Keep on keeping on my friend!

Congrats for the 10k subs! Nice review! You are able to make a short video from a big ration - not boring, I have to learn from you. I have this ration, but it is long in the queue. It looks tasty. The breakfast is not buckwheat, but coarse barley porridge/grains. The entrees are the same as in the military rations. BTW - if you have troubles with Russian translation, give me a message with a photo - I will help

Sometimes whenever I eat M&Ms, I like to hold two M&Ms in between my fingers and squeeze as hard as I can until one M&M cracks, I eat the cracked one, and the one that didn't crack becomes the champion. Then I grab another M&M and force it to compete with the champion in this deadly game of M&M gladiators. I do this until I run out of M&Ms and when there is only one M&M left standing, I send a letter to M&Ms brand with the champion M&M in it with a note attached that reads: "please use this M&M for breeding purposes."

Great review and I will say, these Russian rations in general look extremely tasty and very well made. The foil lids over the pressed foil trays though look to be a bit flimsy for the long haul. I've seen several reviews with the tins punctured or split open, spoiling the contents which is unfortunate. I plan on getting some Russian Army 1 day MRE's to try out and enjoy. Looking forward to it. Thanks again for the great video.

I could be wrong, but is the stove meant to leave the square ends flat and only the spiked ends bent upward? It seems the only logical way even though that would leave a lot of heat touching the surface of whatever it's placed on. Just wanted to be sure/safe in case I ever use one. Great vids!

I thought it was more interesting then the meal itself was that prison guards have a special ration? Maybe it's just military rations repackaged, but seems like more work to make a special box for prison guards or make a particular ration for them in general.

Do you eventually eat all of these meals? I imagine they are a bit expensive to just throw them away.

Kayakwinds I usually shoot the reviews around lunchtime on a day off of work. So, I usually end up eating the things I like for lunch

@michaelmccammack4122 7 жыл бұрын
It all depends on where you live the last ones I got were at a festival near me and I was able to buy a 24 hour U.S ration for 15 dollars and a normal MRE for 5 Army surplus stores aren't normally cheap so don't bother with them
