SWM looks good at the begining, nice military bike, my take would be to use a canvass bag as a tank bag to replocate the wading kit some of the old bikes had, a brass fire extinguisher mounted on the side converted to a tool box or even a vapour trap and an ammo box instead of the canvass bag to keep those Pukka Pies in, replace the tank stickery thingy with a regimental decal. Thumbs up for the fabrication.

Nice job on the bracket fabrication! Looks classic! I would switch the fuel can to the other side, due to the exhaust. That makes messenger bag more accessible as well. Just a personal preference however.

Cool looking bike and you're right guys.... the TV show was about the 4077th MASH (Mobile Army Surgical Hospital), hence likely the reference to it on the front. I used to watch the show with my dad in its days and I liked it :)

I quite like it, I've got the army Enfield and the army XR250R .. was going to get an XR400 and build something in-between the two but someone beat me to it haha looks like a fun bike mate , would look sweet with a windscreen and Amber headlight like mine 😍

I'm not sure why but I desperately wish they would make a 125cc variant of this. I need those soldier vibes now!
@davidbesant5 жыл бұрын
I thought they banned number plates mounted on the front mud guard 'cos pedestrians didn't like it up 'em(!). I reckon a 400cc version of the Mutt Hilts would be nearer the mark. Funny though that all the interesting and fun bikes now appear to be at the (how can I put this?) "budget" end of the market. Perhaps it's just you guys who make it more interesting and fun.

The missus had a mash 125 for a while, not a bad little bike for the price but needed to be kept dry and in a garage or it’d turn into a rust bucket in no time. Some of the welding looked like it’d been done by an 8 year old, hopefully they’ve started to up the build quality.

To make it more authentic by far, you have to reduce the tickover speed MASSIVELY !! It needs to go thump-thump, thump-thump, not brrrrrrrrr ! I used to have an ex WD 1943 ENFIELD :) old it, and the guy chopped it and fitted an A65 engine and gearbox from 1972 Lightening :(

if you are keeping the bike period ... then the exhaust should be quiet, as vehicles of that era were (nearly silent), as not to draw undue attention to ones self.
