They cannot force anyone to break the law by going over a red light. If there was a red light camera that driver/vehicle is not exempt from a ticket/fine/points. That is why the Fire Appliance driver switched off the tones, it is what they are trained to do.

@@CDB8939 Sadly if you look behind the BMW there was enough room for the driver to reverse back and allow the LFB through the lights - Very sad but true

Metropolitan Police (Of London)/London Fire Brigade/ National Health Service (of the United Kingdom) "HART" is Hertfordshire Ambulance Response Team, similar to Physicians Assistant on an Advanced Ambulance in the US, ad the can utilize Ketamine and the like for RSI (Rapid Sequence intubation) in severe head injuries that must be anaesthetized for placement of a cuffed endotracheal tube through thier vocal cords, which in TBI (traumatic brain injuries) the patients are more often than not combative, fighting and in a helicopter which is no place to fight, and a life saving procedure is to increase the patients pO2 as high as possible to "blow off" CO2 as much as possible which reduces increased intracranial pressure, preventing herniation of the "tonsils" of the brain stem, akin to herniation of the brain stem which is uniformally fatal. All London/United Kingdom/Northern Ireland.

How far is East of England from London? We often have NSWAS units transporting patients from across the state border to Brisbane's main hospitals.
