Selena wanted to be as inclusive as possible, so the “ball” on the top of the packaging is there to help people with arthritis to open it. Selena has really weak and shaky hands because the lupus right so one of the reasons why the eyebrow pencil is so pigmented and smooth is to help people with this kind of problem because they struggle with putting pressure and being precisely.

Thank you for this honest review!! The entire line was so thought out down to the what looks like simple packaging. Selena suffers from lupus and also deals with Arthritis which makes it extremely hard to open simple things. The ball at the top of the foundation/concealer/blush/highlight allows people who suffer from Arthritis to open the product with their palms instead of putting pressure on their fingers. Very cute and simple design yet so helpful for people who struggle!!

I have EDS hypermobility type and nerve issues stemming from repeated dislocations and damage, along with osteoarthritis. It makes total sense, my wheelchair has a ball instead of a stick to control it for this exact reason. Arthritis grip brushes with much thicker handles for eye blending would be amazing. Unfortunately it’s Sephora exclusive and we don’t have Sephora in UK.

Love how Rare Beauty’s lip products aren’t a price trap like Kylie’s about whom I’ve heard SO SO many negative reviews about. Also love how the brand is so conscious and authentic about so many issues like mental health and recyclable packaging and being mindful of special abilities with their packaging. The line looks easy to use and a lot more fun than the kind of pressure forced upon everyone with exaggerated ads that tell you how to use a certain product. Can’t wait to try it! :)

I definitely feel like you did the most thorough review of the ones I’ve seen. I loved that you really took the time to read the booklet and actually learn how to use the products the way the brand intends. Plus I just liked that you really seemed to want to show the products and how they perform. Thank you for that. I just wish Selena and her team put more emphasis on the fact that her brand is inclusive of people who have mobility problems. That way influencers can really promote that to the masses. This brand is a different type of inclusive and I wish that was celebrated in this launch as well. I was kind of annoyed when I heard she was launching a makeup line because (aside from met gala looks) she only really has 3 makeup looks she ever wears. Celebrities like Rhianna and Lady Gaga coming out with lines made sense to me, but Selena is more of a no-makeup makeup kind of girl. It felt like a cash grab more than a passion. But these products ARE for those "no makeup makeup" looks so it actually makes sense for her. I'm glad I got to see your review because I wouldn't have given it a chance otherwise. If you dislike foundation I think you should try the missha bb cream (in red packaging). It is the most skinlike and lightweight, but at the same time longwearing product I've ever come across. It is defo low coverage though. Best applied with fingers.

They wrote on their product that the blush should not be used as eyeshadow. This can either mean the did not test it on the eyes, or that the blush contains pigment or other parts which are not good (long term) for eyelid use.

Some blushes and lipsticks on the market cause eye irritation because the formulation is not suitable for the eyes. But probably they just meant that they did not test it specifically on the eyes, so they don't want you to use full pigment on the eyelids. (to cover themselves against complaints) Because even Selena swiped over her eyelids after using most of the product on the cheeks.
