I like this collection. I feel like the undertones are really nuanced. Even the lightest shades didn't look crazy without lip liner because they are balanced, the white base doesn't over power the color. I do think there should be one additional black/brown lip liner for a perfect nude collection.

I really like Rare Beauty as a brand. Every product I own from the brand I love them. However😆, I have the shades I would wear from this collection in my collection already. Basic has come to mean something negative, but I’m just saying that there’s nothing in this release to make me run and buy them

Literally all shades have been invented already.. so expecting something new is not fair. Also the under tones were the winning in this, those shadesare going to look good on every skintone and undertone... and that's something not all companies get right throughout their collections. This brand is very focus on everyday minimal makeup so the shades are on point for what they stand and is just another opcion in the market that people can pick if they like the formula better.. You look amazing in all of them btw haha

I feel the same way. Like Jeffree cosmetics have made so many colors as a brand that theres really no surprise in colors. Theres really not much that can compete except for formula when it comes to makeup these days

Maybe it's just me (because I'm basic AF and happily so) but I really liked all the shades on you. Like all of them. On me, I think the first few shades would be too ashy to work even with a dark lip liner, but on you, each and every shade looked so good.

The undertones of these are perfectly neutral I think on everyone. My mom a dark skinned woman and I a medium skinned woman swatched them today and we both were surprised at how we like the shades on each of us! It’s definitely not revolutionary but it’s honestly still a gap in beauty that isn’t completely filled. I always think I won’t like Rare Beauty until I try it on, and their products always look gorgeous on my mother and I try to support brands that are shade inclusive in all products as much as possible, I despise it when brands aren’t.

I actually really liked all of them on you without any liner. You look stunning. For the lighter colors if you got adventurous I wonder if you had a natural face with the lighter lip color and no liner. Your eye makeup is perfection, I’m just curious how a lighter lip color and natural eye look would come together.

I really liked Sunny on you, probably an unpopular opinion. All of those are very safe colors and it makes sense in a Rare beauty collection. I assumed most would looked boring on you but most looked nice, or maybe you are too pretty to tell the difference. I would definitely have to try on each to decide on the one I would like.

Hopefully they come back with extended colors for deeper tones. I dont get how some brands can give deep tones for complexion products, blushes but not for lip colors.

I have the colors wise and fun. Through out the day I feel like they definitely get more matte but without the liner, the lipstick tends to move around a lot. If you are looking for a true matte lipstick do not buy them. But if you are looking for a hydrating matte lipstick (which is RaRe… see what I did there? Mk.. I’m sorry-) then I definitely recommend it. Just please get the liner as well though.

Heyyyy 🥰 I like the last one, but only because I'm on the hunt for a deep brown nude that doesn't pull too read or cool ashy brown. The collection does fit into the brand, but it's still kinda boring - We've been there and done that. The price point and that it's matte are for me the only thing that speaks for this. 🤷🏾‍♀️

As a brown person, I’ll be picking none of these up. None of the colors were interesting enough for me to even entertain the idea of paying $20 for a lipstick. Plus, almost all were shades that feel like they were made with only fair people in mind. Kind of late to the party, but picking up the entire Juvias Place Nubian Earth lipstick collection. Those shades are 1,000x more interesting and pretty!

Ok soooo...I think all the colors look nice on you. HOWEVER I don't think I'll be picking up any of the shades. They are very been there, done that, seen it before and it's giving it's for "unseasoned" mayo-nated people. Hard pass for me.
