The loco pilot , tried to save his running time on the streach and clear to next crossings, insted of halting here for a passenger train. And avoided a stopping and accelerating, thus saved time and fuel. Cheers to this young loco pilot. But this is a high risky operation, should not be encouraged. If he hit on a stone, falldown, if he could not make up to his cabin back, just imagine the consequences. Extremely dangerous.

This is probably done when signals for one track aren't working or there is some maintenance work going on one track and trains need to be diverted via the 'wrong side of track', manual intervention is needed as there are no signals on the other track that face the train's direction

This is another example of clear safety violation besides an outdated procedure. Loco Pilot leaving the train in motion to collect a piece of paper which otherwise could have been so easily transmitted electronically. Indian Railway needs to review and discard all such practices.

কারণ Line Clearance Sheet কেবল মাত্র উল্টো দিক থেকে আসা গাড়ির থেকেই নিতে হয়। ধরে নেওয়া হয় যেহেতু ওই গাড়িটা এইমাত্র উল্টো দিক থেকে এসেছে, সেহেতু সেই গাড়ির চালকই সবচেয়ে ভালো জানবেন ওই সময়ে লাইন পরিষ্কার আছে কিনা। যাকে বলে first hand experience.
