That is a very good question! There is also a German commemorative coin from Hessen with a similar error that I know of. I would say that there are more coins with this error, but they are very rare.

The F on your coin means that your coin was minted in Stuttgart whereas coins with the letter A are minted in Berlin. Hello Jules p. It depends on the coin. For euro coins both the observe and the reverse should face the same direction. If that is not the case then it is an error. But there are coins from other currencies where the observe and reverse should face opposing directions.

@@blackmamba5380 Exactly. Usually the observe and reverse of the coin are aligned with each other. I don't know if this error only appears on 2 euro coins. But I know there is at least one more German coin with this error. It was a commemorative 2 euro coin either from "Hessen" or "Hamburg".
