Nice, rare big delight surprise.
Mong Kok Fire Station turning out a reserve Dennis RS Hydraulic Platform F481, Hose Layer, Major Rescue Unit, and a Rapid Response Paramedic Motorcycle for a person threatening to jump from height.
There was most likely a coding error which resulted in a total of 3 separate turnout tones for the appliances going to the same shout, you can see one of the firemen from the MRU going up the HP to inquire why they were not mobilised since they are one of the main vehicles to attend a call of this nature before running back once the tones went (1:17) . Additionally, the tone heard at about 0:37 was for the HP but they most likely figured out in advanced and already started getting ready.
The HL is parked facing the back of the station and turns out from the side entrance/ exit.
Shortly after, the LT from Tsim Sha Tsui rushed past too.
Sounded like the engine misfired slightly when the HP was turning out, hence the slight pause. This appliance first entered service in November 1991. I did not know the Dennis was being used at this station and was rather delighted when the gate opened and saw such a beauty.

The gate opened and there it was! Such a beauty! Such a lovely lovely vehicle. Awesome rare catches! One of your best videos ever =D. It was so cool seeing that motorcycle and other unit fly by just before that lovely Dennis RS came out! Stupid people though stopped for the traffic light at the end, they're stopped on the yellow mesh markings, right in-front of a fire station!

That Dennis is running normally... no misfire out of the engine, it's just running cold, I have owned a few of them and they all make that sound - its an old school direct injection Perkins V8 diesel in that trucj... sounds like either a V8-640 or a turbo V8-540... unusual to hear one in a 1991 appliance as they switched to the Cummins C8.3 engine around 1989. Extremely distinctive roar out of the Perkins V8s the sound is unmistakable - and they all run very rough when idling, but when they are revved they sound like a bear with a sore head!

Yeah! It was used so much during the 90s, and probably discontinued in the 2000s. It is indeed a shame. One of the reasons why I was sad, not being born in the 90s.
