Saw them in San Antonio, Texas in 1970, went out and bought the double live record set and I lived Pete's part as one of the first lead vocalists/drummers in rock. Man, I was blown away over and above the great "lid" I had just bought out of Mexico. Betcha you kids don't know what a "lid" is and how much it cost back in the day, right? Ha!
@indoorkhat15216 жыл бұрын
An ounce and around $15 depending on where you lived in 1970. I'm sure it was much cheaper in Mexico. I bet it was good but not even in the same league as the shit I'm smoking up here in Colorado. No seeds and damn near no stems, 30% THC, covered in frost. So good it makes you want to slap your mama!
@austinteutsch6 жыл бұрын
Totally agree. My son just came back from Colorado and brought back some shit that blew my mind! Really, really good shit. One day, Texas will grow up, too. Until thin, rock on Colorado and other states that chose to live and let live.

@@sailorgregor exactly kind sir, or to put it another way was full enuff you could fold the lip of the baggie. Here in eastern Ohio in the early 70's a lid was usually $10 unless it was of superior quality then it cost ya $15. We were lucky in my hometown. We was kool with the local law enforcement and they was kool with us. Told us as long as we didn't go tearing around town and blasting a stereo at our in town spot they'd leave us alone, and they did. They also knew where we partied just outside of town. When we weren't in town they'd come looking for us. They told us as long as you ain't got no 16 yr old girls out here and not being stoopid we'll leave ya alone. We had a good relationship with the law, we could even roll and burn one in front of them. Except for one cop, he was a dick.

Every morning before I gave my famous "Get Real" Sales Meeting at my dealership which was No.1 in sales in the Mid-Atlantic Region for Nissan Motors USA I would listen to Rare Earth " I just Want To Celebrate" two or three times before emerging to the my conference where one of the best "Sales Force" was assembled and waiting for their "Come To Jesus" moment. My sales meetings were so dynamic that I on occasion would discover a competing Dealer disguised and infiltrating my "Closed To All" Sales Meetings. My sales meeting started at 8:00 A.M. sharp and if you were not present at that time the door to the conference room was shut and locked and no one was admitted after I rang "The Opening Bell"
