I thought the Rays were just jumping because they could and were happy 😊 that was in my mind only 😊 oh it was so beautiful and joyful to watch them. Enter the Orcas, who are just as wonderful, gorgeous and dangerous to the happy Rays. Both were so skilled at their offence and defence, it truly was a heart stopping game that you knew that the Orca’s would score some devastating points. Those plucky little Rays weren’t outdone by any means as most survived to play another day. Carlos, thank you as always! Watching it in 4K is the best way! I have a lot of shares to do with this one! I really loved this video too! ❤❤️

This was amazing! I know that word is used by everyone for just about everything these days but it is the right word in this case. I just adore your content and as someone who hasn't seen the ocean for many years and orcas and sting rays for even longer you cannot imagine the joy that this footage brings to me. The only negative is when I see the intelligence and strategy of these orca's and how they work together and train the youngsters within the pod to hunt I am reminded of those within the species trapped in bathtub sized pools across the globe for the amusement of man. Seeing the pod in its family group in the ocean and the utter majesty of them in motion it just grieves my heart for those who were ripped from their families for entertainment at places like Seaworld and other establishments and the lives of desperation they have been and continue to exist within these prisons. If only mankind was as smart as the orca's we wouldn't have this travesty continuing today! Thank you for sharing your gift with us less mobile and housebound! From a Grandma on a chilly winter morning in country NSW Australia!

That is so cool! The way the rays splashed in different directions was fascinating. I wonder if that confuses predators? And my other thought is maybe jumping out of the water while swimming normally is for distance. The air is easier to travel through than water. I was thinking about flying fish doing the same thing. I hope researchers figure it out because I totally want to know the answer! 😁

The rays at the beginning of the video jumping out the water like: "I believe I can fly. I believe I can touch the sky..." Nope, not yet, maybe next time! Then the orcas chasing the rays like: "Sleep with one eye open. Gripping your pillow tight. Exit light. Enter night. Take my fin. We off to Never Never Lind..." With the rays responding: "I've got to run away. [dunt dunt!] I've got to get away [dunt dunt!] from the pain that you drive into the heart of me!"

I'm still unsure how this hunting strategy pays off in the long run. It takes several ray's livers' to even regain the lost energy in the hunt. Perhaps these are only snacks, or delicacy meals. But seriously this is almost equal to a human running a mile in the desert for a cup of water and half a Snickers bar.
