That never mattered... (Shakeel sir was a graduate and a trained poet... Majrooh Saab's father was a police officer... and Majrooh was a voracious leader... Shayari was his passion... Hasrat saab was a matriculate...and after completing his secondary education, he moved to Bombay(Mumbai) and worked as a bus conductor... So yes, he wasn't formally educated... but it never mattered... Even Shailendra wasn't in the "well-educated" category... That doesn't make them any lesser lyricists... They understood the medium well...and their lyrics are immortal...
