Would have saved at least 1 more of the best of them, grabbed any decent doors, hoods, fenders, bumpers, grills, tail lights, interior pieces, etc. I could get...maybe even hacked out the engines for extra parts..I definitely would have saved that whole front clip they got, though, instead of hacking it off and hacking the hood and fenders in half.. :( I guess I just don't get that "wall art" fad....

I am very glad that these guys saved what they have. But I agree. It might have required more time and work, but I would have been saving every little salvageable part. Whether trim; lens; dash knobs; handles; whatever. Parts for these cars just don't grow on trees, or are readily available, for the people who want to restore/rebuild Nash, Frazier or Kaiser cars. Even in bad shape, this group of cars was a great find, IMO!
@dyer2cycle

At least hacking the nose off that one car saved the grill, etc., but the hood and fenders were totally destroyed by doing that, the fenders and hood should have been removed intact..to their credit, these guys do more than most to save original stuff, with minimal hacking...some guys(including many KZbinrs) hack up everything they 'save"...seen too many good front clips, and rear ends, and good pickup beds hacked up for this "wall art" stuff..that's another fad I just wish would go away...@@willhorting5317

I didn't think you were coming back for any of those Kaisers, but glad you did! The Traveler was likely intact all these years because of the trees and vines protecting it. (Would be fun to dump CLR all over it to see how much surface rust goes away and how much color is left on it.) Hope you took all of the glass , lenses and trim off of the ones harvested for parts and left behind, anything that could be saved. They are rare and survivors could use the bits to get back on the road again.

I want to tell you, Joe and Tim, that I am so happy to see that you came back for those two cars. Especially that Nash. I've been thinking about that car since the last video thinking it would be crushed and gone forever. Both those cars were around when I was a child and I thought when seeing them how ugly they were. But now as an "old man" I have a new appreciation for them. Would love to see them restored, specially the Nash. I would bet both those cars could be rented for weddings and as a chauffeur driven vehicles, or perhaps in parades. And want to say Joe you are one hard-working guy. And Tim I know you are extremely knowledgable and put out great effort, but can't compete with Joe's energy. After this video and the fact you went back to save those cars I have a whole new appreciation for you both. Keep up the fantastic work. I'll be looking forward to your next video.

Set an old car / truck wheel (tire off) under the chain, just in front of the car you're pulling.....as you pull forward, it will offer bit of lift to the car. Just have to make sure you don't pull the vehicle up on to it. Dad and I used that trick for years back when we had a salvage yard.

I lived in a lower middleclass neighborhood in San Diego. There were a lot of these cars still driving and in the junk yards in the '60's. I remember my dad's '38 Ford when I was five. My Jr High School Councelor gave us rides home in her '48 Chevy. My first car was a Chevy '63 Biscayne 3 on the tree with a 283. The poor man's hot rod!

Always loved the "underdogs." Kaiser, Frazer, Nash, DeSoto, etc.. Yes, I love everything from the Big Three, but if it weren't for those under-appreciated dogs, we would not have the vintage chronology and genealogy of what we are into from that era. They begat alot. Last 2 "underdogs" I wrenched on: 55 Rambler/Nash/Hudson wagon, and a 57 DeSoto, with a 341 Hemi. Those 2 "uncool kids in the classroom" actually rip now. Revenge Of The Nerds on 4 wheels. I just enjoy rescueing and reviving things that nobody else works on. At 15:30:00, did that one come with a tree on the three?

Video doesn't show all that we got, but all of the die cast trim was too pitted to be of any use. None of the plastics inside the cars were any good either, sadly. Bumpers were all bent and sheet metal on all the cars was rusted through due to sitting under trees/leaves for the last 40 years.
