Thanks, great video. Only death itself would make me part with my AD .....

Oh my gosh, thanks for posting this. I still have the VHS too! I saw the ad in Keyboard Magazine and sent a letter to Korg, per the ad, and got it through the mail when I was in High School and watched it over and over again. In those days, pre-KZbin, you had no way to understand the sound unless you could find one in a store, so this was the way. Something about this video made it feel like surely everyone in the world wanted a Wavestation, even if they weren't keyboardist, synth nerds, or producers, it was just like...this is so cool. I finally ended up with the VST years later, but may still buy the hardware someday. Do we know who did the voiceover? Was that actually Dave Smith? Sounds not unlike him.

I do not have any credits for the video...good question.

Thanks for posting. Did you ever work or visit the Goodman Music store in West Covina? I almost bought a Korg M1r there in 1991, they wanted $1500 for it, and $900 for the m3r. I ended up getting the m3r for $850 at Nadine's in Hollywood. I have a Korg Wavestation EX that is still an incredible synth. The software version is nice too, but I just can't let go of that Wavestation EX. It is THE digital synth!

I only worked at the store on Lankershim. Loved it! Early 90s synths!

I let go of my M1 and Wavestation long ago and it hasn't been the same without them. I recently got the WS A/D from Ebay and M1 will arrive in a week or so.

Do you own a wave station a/d? If you do, please demo the instrument input with a guitar.

Unfortunately I sold my Wavestation years ago, but I still have the video tape!
